The SLPL needed a mascot.

Catherine Cotton just finished building what's got to be the largest dragon model in SL. Has anyone seen any bigger? Fly down to Gualala for a look. ^_^ It's beautiful, and stretches about 100 meters from head to tail, sprawled out along the top of the SL Public Library. We've named the dragon Einstein, and the book that he's reading is an actual document written by Albert Einstein. hehe

That dragon is truly awesome!
The architecture it's laying on is also a beautiful piece of work. I love how the water flows through the center.

Great job Catherine and all others who contributed.

You might want to come to Phobos - I have two large serpents out. I orignally had one in Clyde a long time ago.

I am full of admiration for people who can build realistic, high-prim organic builds. I gave it a try once, but got tired after 48 prims :( And my dragon ended up looking more like a winged Bugs Bunny with a fat body and no limbs!

I'm going to stick to buildings with flat walls and right angles! You go, Catherine! And Camille!

I just have to say, that I spoke with Catherine for the first time IW last night. She was visiting Neverland and I had IM'd her with some builder questions. She was so sweet and took the time to answer my questions. I was amazed with her Christmas Island and I highly recommend everyone go see it. The details and creativity is amazing.

Thank you Catherine for the inspiration to us upcoming builders :)

Huggerz,
MJ

I've seen those before, Camille! :D They look great! Not quite as big though. I'd keep them away from Einstein. He might make breakfast out of them. ;)

We gots like da Donald Trump of dragons, fo shizzle.

This dragon gots a high-IQ too, and is obviously erudite but polite.

After all, isn't imagination more important than knowledge? ;)

It was surreal for me to see Cat, decked out in whimsical period gear, work on the dragon. There is something magical about that for me, and as long as it perpetuates, this whimsy will always warm my heart in Second Life.
