Chance Small Steals Again

Chance Small is selling a stolen craps game. He did not make it, I'm not sure how he stole it, but please do not buy a craps game from Chance Small.

Lindens, please, what do you do to stop this from happening? He already ripped off 12k from someone, you don't keep a close on on what he does? You just ban him for 2 days and let him run free after that??

Sad to see yet another person get ripped off.. i wonder how long the average con-man's lifespan in SL is? That is, how long will the administration and the community tolerate it?

I'd like to see some hard evidence rather than just people posting to the forums with accusations. Until I see evidence, this is just slander.

Would you not agree that it would be a very tough thing to prove? So far as I know, the only way to prove, in your eyes, would be to aquire administrative abilities and comb through logs. What if I stole something you made in an hour or so and asked for proof?

(note: this is just for sake of argument, im actually somewhat interested in the commonly accepted process for something like this. How WOULD I prove that someone has stolen something of mine, should it happen?)

If he can't prove it, then how the heck does he know it? Either he shows us via screenshots or whatever that Chance actually stole something, or he stops making accusations.

The burden of proof is put on the accuser.

Somone needs to get ahold of this game that chance is selling & a copy of the one that Jack has and make a comparison of the two. Somone outside the issue who is trusted by both parties.

Then we can discuss wether they are actualy the same product or two different but similarly functioning products. Do the devices even look the same?

Ah ok so this game was made by an outside party? Someone who has left the game? Then Jack, im afraid, if you did not create the object/script yourself and have no proof that rights to it were deeded to you by TiamaT (if it is the same machine) that you cant stop somone else from selling / giving it away.

Jack, it would be wise to talk to me before slapping up slander. I didn't rip money from anyone, you need to get up to date, plus I was never banned from SL, nor will I ever, because I have not done anything wrong.

The games were given to me by TiamaT before he left the game. I was not informed that it would be a problem to sale it or give it out. I sold it to one person, and that was it.

If this is a problem (which it obviously is) then I am sorry, you should have attached a note card to it stating that it is not allowed to be resold or distributed.

If you would like to talk to me so that we may figure something out to try to make things right, then I am all for it. I am sorry; I did not mean to cause any problems.

I'm sorry I didn't know someone gave it to you, Chance. As long as you delete all your copies I'm happy.

The Video Poker and Craps that I had of yours have been deleted from my inventory and my lot. Sorry for the trouble.
