Anyone noticing odd behavior inworld today? I don't mean human/furry interspecies sex or anything.

I've been seeing alot of grid slowdown, lag, hiccups in movement, typed chat that comes up out of order, and several minute delays in inventory changes taking effect, like "Take" or "Take Copy".

So far I've seen it happening on the Island Sandbox. Anyone else experiencing this?

I did very early this morning. So I relogged and it didn't help.

I sure hope the Lindens have a backup sitting somewhere, because it sounds like from the recent posts that the asset server is going to outright crash completely soon.

I had a hell of a problem with this last night. Complete lockups. Happened in Solway, Drum, and a few other places I can't remember right now.

Uh oh! I have been getting these errors:

Clothing/body part is missing from database.
Replaced missing clothing/body part with default.

Oh my...

Hmmm I have noticed several missing/corrupt Inventory items. Thankfully nothing irreplaceable (yet) but I'm still looking. Who else is experiencing this?

i've noticed it too. these conditions generally indicate an operational preview grid or a pending asset system crash.

You gotta love someone who makes a distributed system without explicitly designing it from the ground up to follow any of the canonical models for data consistency or fault tolerance.

or, considering today's preview announcement, maybe it was both.
