Well, we have so much free time to spend now, lets talk about the games we knew and loved before "online". Try to think of 5 games you at one time loved and post em here. They didnt have to be state of the art, just ones that you truly enjoyed.
Lets see ...
1) Nintendo "Crystalis" 2) Nintendo "Conflict" 3) Super Ninteno "Super Conflict" (lol) 4) Sega "Dune" 5) PS "Final Fantasy Tactics"
I cant name to many in PS cause by the time it came out I was to involved in online games like darkness falls with gamestorm LOL ... OMG text based RPGs

hmm..it's been sooo long well PRE online gaming for me I liked... #1 The sims (own all the expansion packs) (PC) #2 Boggle (PC) #3 Donkey Kong Country(Super Nintendo) #4 Super mario (gameboy) Yes, I confess I used to *sneak* my son's gameboy advance to play it ESPECIALLY when I had to go to lengthy Doctors visits. Some mom's read magazines (sometimes I do too) but I really loved playing that game *giggles* #5 Theme Park (playstation 1) (edited a few times now cause well ..I can't type hehehe )

From: Alicia Eldritch Tiger Woods Golf
Funny you should mention that. He came into the Costco I work at today with his wife and mother. One of my co-workers, who was cleaning up the liquor department, said hello to him and wished him a new year, Tiger responded with the same. My co-worker then advised Tiger to take a look at the excellent golf clubs we have on aisle 314. lol. I was told they got passport photos taken because they were going to Sweeden, and that Tiger slipped out soon after because people were asking for his autograph and gaining a crowd. His mom and wife then continued to purchase the items that they needed. I only met his wife and mother as I helped them buy another membership. Never did see Tiger myself, ahh well. Anyway. My favorites would have to be: Carnival [(Atari) i was also able to have the full blown arcade machine in my living room for a month when that game was new. That was awesome] Combat (Atari) Metroid (NES) Those are the ones that really stick out in my mind. I didn't play much console games after NES. I would play all the consoles after that at my friend's house (as he had them all, which was good for me!. hehe). Mostly after that it was PC games for me, well and the Apple 2e before that. Oregon Trail! lol.

Any game made by Nintendo, especially the Zelda series, and i love all platformers on the SNES. I would not touch a PS game with a bargepole, far too many are based on films etc and were made with a low budget. HALO ROCKS!!!

Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 8, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy Tactics, Legend of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, "The Zelda Series (minus the Adventure of Link, Windwaker, and Majora's Mask,)" Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10, Baten Kaitos (This is a new one for GameCube. Check it out. It's a postmodern RPG,) Kingdom Hearts (If you grew up on Disney films, you absolutely have to try this one; Playstation 2...) "The Mario Bros. Series" (totally obligatory; that includes Super Mario RPG!) "Donkey Kong Series" (straight up into Donkey Kong 64, not including that recent bongo drum game that just came out...) Star Fox 64, Hm.. Heh, well, I know I'm missing some, and I'll probably kick myself for it in the morning.

Final Fantasy Tactics, definitely. And FF VI & VII, too, though to a lesser extent. I only had a console late in my "yputh", so was already too much into college and studying to play many games, hence my short list. but, bah

Also, Jova, when you say "any resident evil" does that include Resident Evil: Survivor? That game was just horrible. And there's also "Resident Evil Deadaim" which i have yet to see or play.

This is an incomplete list. I've played video games for just about 30 years. Atari 2600 River Raid Asteroids Yar's Revenge Atari 5200 The Dreadnaught Factor (really big ships!) Berzerk Missile Command (better than the 2600) Sega Master System Zillion (also an ok anime series, never released on DVD) Govellius (first RPG I ever played) NES Super Mario 3 Startropics (underrated, but fun) Tetris (addictive) Dr Mario (also addictive) The Legend of Zelda Metroid Sega Genesis The complete Sonic the Hedgehog series Road Rash 2 (it was road rage before the term was invented ) Paperboy (really liked the arcade version too) Sega CD The Adventures of Willy Beamish (frustrating load times, but funny) Sonic CD Panic! (weird, quirky, but fun) Earthworm Jim (the ultimate version, with Sega CD exclusive levels) Gotta also mention the Sega CD releases from Working Designs. Working Designs did translations of Japanese RPGs. I have no idea what the original Japanese titles were about, but their English translations were hilarious. Not in that "Engrish" way, but very witty. They released 4 Sega CD titles: Lunar Lunar II Vay (pronounced "Vie" Popful Mail Popful Mail was originally called "Popple Mail". Apparently, Working Designs changed the name because of the title character's enormous breasts and the chain mail armor she wore. My list ends here. In 1995, I was trying to decide whether I would go Playstation or Saturn. I decided "none of the above" and went to PC games. Never looked back, and never bought another console.

From: Koose DeGroot Im sooo pissed ! I cleaned up the old PS and went to play Tactics tonight while I waited, my step son has it at his house ! Bah ! Well, its almost time to get dressed to go out and party ... RL tonight, what a concept. I backed up lots of my PS games and sold my system years ago. I still have FF tactics, I just use an OS emu to play them using tv-out and a wireless controller. emulating can even make the games look better if you have a decent comp
