Dear Citizens of Second Life:

I am writing to acknowledge your recent gift to AmeriCares in the amount of
$2,970.00 on February 3, 2005 for our Southeast Asia Relief Fund. Your
generosity is helping AmeriCares provide urgently needed humanitarian aid to
the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunamis in this region.

As required by the Internal Revenue Service, this letter shall confirm that
AmeriCares provided no goods or services to you, in consideration, in whole or
in part, for this contribution. This donation is 100% tax-deductible.

AmeriCares is actively responding to help the survivors of the Southeast Asia
earthquake and tsunami disaster and to prevent further loss of life. Our first
airlift of emergency relief supplies landed in Colombo, Sri Lanka on December
29th, carrying 30,000 pounds of aid including essential medicines, first aid
supplies, and enough water purification treatments to provide four million
liters of potable water. AmeriCares disaster relief teams are currently on the
ground in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and Indonesia to plan the next steps of
our relief efforts. Presently, we are assembling supplies for three additional
airlifts of medicines and water purification treatments, which will be heading
soon to Indonesia, India and Sri Lanka. Given the health care needs in these
affected countries, we know that we will continue to be active well into the
future as we work to rehabilitate and replace their health care
infrastructure.

On behalf of everyone at AmeriCares, our sincere thanks for supporting our
relief efforts. Your generosity will make a real impact on the lives of many,
many people in Southeast Asia.

If you have any questions regarding your donation, please call 800-989-2637
between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST or email donations@americares.org.

Sincerely,

Monica Aiken

Stroker,

Well done - a fantastic effort!

Lazarus,

Let's see, you are the person saying in another thread that it's ok for people to build on other people's property.

Somehow I feel that you are not going to end up as the most popular person in these forums.

I never said that it was ok...

I merely asked a few questions and stated that It is not good to hate first without trying to understand.

What if you think that he is not going to claim that as a tax deduction for himself you are out of your mind.

It would be silly not to :)

What Stroker got was the letter from AmeriCares's Monica Aiken Director, Donor Relations acknowledging that that the "Citizens of Second Life" made a donation $2,970 US, which is very brilliantly made public!

Trust tells me that Stroker will not be changing his name to "Citizens of Second Life" for the sole purpose of taking an illegal charitable tax deduction on his income tax!
