Aquaman... He can talk to FISH, how do you beat THAT?! In all seriouseness, I always liked Batman, not that goofy golden age one, but the realistic hard core take no crap Batman. Gambit is also cool... Ugh theres too many cool superheros just to choose one. One of my all time favorite villians is the Joker, chaos and mayham and laughs! Fantasy... hmm... I'm not much into fantasy, any wizard will do, Merlin was always a fave of course.

First that popped in my head was one I normally wouldn't refer to for anything, but for some reason I think Cecil from FF4 is a great emblem of courage.

Mine would have to be an anime character, but there's no point in my mentioning them because nobody will have a clue what I'm talking about! lol

What, is the anime -that- obscure? C'mon, most of us out here watch anime a lot.
As for me... Iron Man. Yeah. Maybe. He always was cool-ish.

Mine would have to be Captain America--now there's a real superhuman.
However, I would say that The Mighty Thor kicks butt because I liked the story arcs and the writing (the writing was good two years ago when I stopped collecting. . .the money is now being spent on online games).
And I have to include Goku-- he's funny as hell and he can beat the tar out of the Star Spangled Soldier and the God of Thunder.
Garoad, I think a lot of us know at least a little about anime. Who is it?

Okay, well let's see, I never take the time to think about favorites...so I have to think! lol Yes, Goku is pretty frikkin cool... although I initially liked Vegeta alot at first, maybe less as he became less of an a$$. There is some rather obscure anime that I watch though. One favorite of mine is Youko from Twelve Kingdoms (aka Juuni Kokki), but I doubt many people here have seen that. Garoad (my avatar, see pic to left) is absolutely the best Gundam character ever, funny as hell, competent, independent, adaptive, and gutsy. Very cool...but Gundam X is a very unknown show. (If Wing is the ultimate story-teller at the cost of character development, X is the ultimate character development show at the cost of storyline. Although Gundam Seed is probably the best ever.) And I'd have to consider Gatz, from the rather mature anime Berserk. How could being 99.9% unstoppable not be cool? Yomiko and Nancy from Read or Die are good and crazy...secret agent librarians and James Bond style spy stories, it's just perfect. Sango (for simple coolness factor) and Inu Yasha (for simple kicka$$ factor) are good choices. And I haven't even thought about other comic anime like Ranma 1/2 (Genma, Ranma (both halves), Ryoga, Akane, Shampoo, Soun, Moose, Kuno, Happosai) or Tenshina Konamaiki (Soga...lol), etc etc etc. Yeah...it'll be a miracle if this doesn't hijack the thread. This is why I never try to choose favorite ANYTHINGS!

Ash, from Army of Darkness. You gotta adminre anyone who could cut off their own hand and replace it with a chainsaw. Ash rocks! Bruce Campbell is such a cool guy. Must remember to visit his website again. Anyway, my favorite superheroes/fantasy types are: ~ Rogue (from X-Men): I always felt her pain, not being able to connect with people in the physical sense (even though I can and do ) ~ from LOTR I loved Eowyn and Arwen: I love to see strong women characters that don't wait around to be saved. ~ from Ever After, Danielle De Barbarac played by Drew Barrymore: don't know if this applies, but I recently saw this movie again and I love her character for the same reason I loved Eowyn and Arwen. ~ Ichigo, from the anime series Tokyo Mew Mew (avatar pic on the left): what can I say... I love catgirls!

Favorite Superhero: I have to give the nod to Batman. I never was a fan of the comics, but the concept of a purely human person who nonetheless dedicated himself to fighting crime, pushing the physical and mental limits of ability and endurance... to me it's a much neater character concept than Joe Alien or someone who got zapped.
Honorable mention to Warlock, from the Marvel universe. Yeah, he's Joe Alien. Eh well.
Favorite Fantasy Character: Good even split here between two characters from the same fantasy series, A Song Of Fire And Ice: Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister. If you don't know these two, I recommend you go pick up and read A Game Of Thrones, the first book in the series. Right now.
Honorable mention to Killy, from the manga series Blame!, despite his general *lack* of character.

The Dread Pirate Roberts! Seriously -- Fave Superhero: - Jenny Sparks, from Image's _Stormwatch_ and _The Authority_ books. Loved her as the response to the usual run of spandex-clad folks. (If anyone else has read those books, please speak up) Fave Fantasy Character: *scratches head* Arg. I've been on a SF kick recently, so I can't really think of any one fantasy character. Bleh.

I too was a Dr. Strange fan. Fantasywise I liked Corwin Amber from the Amber series by Zelazney.
