Now that ratings are finally being normalized, I'd like to take this opportunity to encourage you all to rate your friendly architects, builders, and vehicle makers positively in the building category if you are impressed with their work.
Note I just said "building category"; don't triple rate them, as that dilutes the purpose.
Maybe now we can finally see the best builders on top of that list, rather than Clubby McClubberson.

And while your at it, toss in a rate to your friendly scriptors.. oh wait, we don't have a ratings area..... I guess we can say we "build" scripts. But I agree, the tripple rate thing needs to go... Rate for what is worthwhile to rate.

Who is going to bother rating anyone when the cost is high and its only a temporary rate? If you love what someone has built or scripted....send them an IM or a notecard telling them so....its guaranteed to make them smile

*sighs*
And I thought only the dancers teased, provoked and urged their patrons to... um, unload their pockets.
Now, you too?
It's really simple. Rate what you like, rate what makes your eyes dance -- whether it's a build, a piece of clothing, a fun or workable script, a person who has given you assistance, or an AV that is just incredible.

Why would I spend a whopping $25L to rate anyone, for any reason, when it's going to disappear within 6 months?
I used the rating system "properly" when it was affordable and permanent.
I continued to use the rating system, and "properly", when it was expensive but permanent.
I won't be using the system at all now that it's expensive and temporary.
Besides, I'm saving up for a penis.

I received my first rating since the price increase today.... it was also my first EVER negative rating, and better still, my first EVER triple negative rating! What was my crime I hear you say? A player following an outdated landmark to a private sim, ended up in another private sim (I assume since it was the closest hub to where the other sim had previously been, before it had drifted south due to LL tectonics), the sim they ended up in consisted of a mall which I built (for the owner of that sim).... Clearly the whole thing was a dastardly plot by me to 'trap' people in 'my' mall. This justified neg rating not only my building skill, but also my behaviour and appearance What I like about this is that since I've had no + ratings since the price increase, and assuming I don't get any in the next 5 months, then in 5 months time the only rating i'll have is 3 neg's.... Anyway, thanks for suggesting people rate their friendly builders LordFly, it's really come together for me

LF Whenever I see a build I really like, I make sure to rate the builder. Always have. My rating habbits haven't changed much since the new prices, I have always rated when I thought it was deserved, and still do.

I've gotten six positive ratings for my builds since I bought land and started a week ago. I like that, it means something. I've gotten a couple of good ratings for my appearance and my behavior. I'm not sure what those mean, actually.
Reading the forum threads on ratings, I wondered whether people are giving more build ratings and less appearance or behavior ratings. I thought maybe build ratings are easier to give because they're based on something material and more obvious. It'd be interesting to know how the ratings proportions themselves have changed recently.

'Tis probably more effective to give the L$25, 50, or 75 to the AV directly. It will likely yield them more than the ephemeral rate And LF, if I hadn't already rated you, I would, but "friendly"????
