Can Someone Pls Explain the Pay Scale???

Hello all, I wouldnt ask here but it would seem the knowledge base site is down right now. I was wondering if anyone could please explain to me how the weekly pay works. I get the base stipend, but what is the delta rating?? I am so lost. I have heard it depends on how many people you rate, and I've heard it depends on how many people rate you, AND i've also heard it depends on both lol. Soooo, anyone who could help me out would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what the formula is... but it ALSO depends on how many people you rated/rated you during the last week... >_O

Hehe, give up trying to understand it while you still have your sanity... I've tried to figure out their math and I still have no luck. Darnit, should have payed attention in algebra class...

500 + (rates x 1.5) + (total last week of rates x 3) = so much bs, but it looks good

Yeah I gave up trying to understand it especially when I get 5-10 rates a week and my bonus keeps dwindling.....oh well.

nobody but the lindens can explain the weekly calculation. it is private code surrounded by mystic revelations so that nobody can game the system ho ho chortle snort ha ha ha ahem, every tuesday:

we recieve a basic stipend;

we also recieve a bonus based on percentiles of people with net positive ratings;

then we recieve a weekly bonus based on percentiles of people that have assigned and received net positive ratings over the past week;

finally, we get our allotment of daily dwell and group distributions minus group-related fees which are two other functions heavily shrouded in the mists of nongamableness.

i used to worry like crazy, that my weekly accumulation wouldn't add up to the land and rez taxes that i owed. then i found out that people just created alts, gave them all their money and were promptly forgiven every week for owing thousands of lindens worth of taxes. they were even allowed to keep the land! bugger that. now that land taxes are paid with real dollars instead of lindens, i've gotten used to having no idea what my weekly amount will total. i am gonna have to dig a deeper hole though. the treasure is starting to shine through the ground.

ha ha ha. i added a little rant at the bottom to force the brain back into a normal mode of operation. come to think of it, that might not be the best idea i've ever had.
