I don't want anyone to think Chance has started a trend here, I just wanted to say farewell to Second Life from myself and my wife. SL is a great environment, but it's beginning to change into just another MMORPG game, what with the constant whining and all. It was a wonderful creative outlet for the both of us while it lasted, and while I understand the limitations set in place, it simply did not allow us to do/be what we were looking to do/be. (no doobie jokes please...) Special thanks for a wonderful experience go out from both of us to Michael Linden, Pirate Cotton, Ama Omega, Eggy Lippmann, Darwin Appleby, and many others to be added in the coming days -- due to having only a short time to write this. -Hunter & Raelynn Phaeton (ps, if anyone would like a copy of our builds, including the cave in darkwood, the smithy, some barrels, chair, a deck with spa, etc...IM us and we can set up a time in world to meet...we can only be on in the afternoon/evening EST inworld though...they will be free)

The 2L Experience is amazing. However, for me, the taxes is a major issue. While I do UNDERSTAND why we have the taxes set up the way they are, it doesn't work for me.
Also, there have been other little problems; but nothing ot get into. Some people are jerks. They ruin things for the rest of us.
To everyone my husband mentioned and more to be mentioned later.. Thank you. You are all truly remarkable people. I value everything you taught me.

Wow. Sorry to hear you're going! Where do you folks plan on going after this? I'd sure love to hear if there is somewhere better...

Aw man, I hope you change your mind guys. Really, this will all simmer down in a bit. Second Life is NOT just another MMORPG; go to any other and you'll find that out. This is a temporary bump due to 1.1.

Oh no, Hunter, dont leave now, you have to check out our project when its finished BTW I would like a copy of anything you want to give me. You can just drop stuff on my calling card if you want and I will receive it when I log on. I take a copy of everything I find free to copy if only for historical purposes.

Like other players in other mmorpg's that I've played, who post about leaving I say this:
Take a break. Return, and with the return you get a fresh and fun experience again.
Like all online games, people whine. Myself highly included. But my whines, and I think 90% of all whining in SL is well-intentioned, and most times light-hearted and in good spirits. As well as mature.
So I encourage both you and your wife to take a breather and return to what was a short time ago, for you, a fun experience. It will be again!
