Glue them together and then hang them in the tree like one big mobile, I think we have one with like 100+ on them right now..plus the light reflects off of them soooooo nicely..heheh..sold one once too..to the neighbor.

Run it over with the car :D

Usually I find some way to destroy it. Sometimes a hammer, sometimes I throw it at things, and an endless number of possibilities.

Gah... you all know nothing of pain... My family forces AOL upon me. A few friends and I got a bunch from a store once, and ran over them in the parking lot (purging the evil). They were still there a week later.

Mine go in the trash. I remember seeing a place that collects them and returns them to AOL.

I send them to a friend who has a huge garden down south - he hangs them around his garden to scare off birds, and apparently they work a treat, as he always says 'send more'.

Does anyone know if those guys in California have gotten anywhere with their plan to dump a million AOL (I also hate typing that) CD's at AOL's (argh) headquarters front door?
That company must spend huge amounts sending out, what in my opinion, is just so much landfill!

I once went with a friend to our local supermarket to take all the free AOL CD's from their display-racks at the checkouts. We managed to fill three carrierbags before security collared us!
Thus ensued a brief argument with the store manager, which resulted with a threat call to the police, and we left quietly. Although one wonders if a charge of 'stealing free CDs' would have resulted in any action.
They didn't even let us take our haul...

For a while I tried using them as wall shingles, but the supply has finally run short, so I just use the nice ones as coasters.

I have a rather nice collection dating back to AOL 2.5. Mostly CDs, a few floppies. They've had a very sporadic marketing campaign, I'll tell you that.

My favorite is the CD dressed up to look like a "round box" of Tide laundry detergent. Anyone remember that one?

I have some in Russian, Swedish, French, and some other languages I can't remember offhand. Strange considering the service is called "America Online."

Once I've reach AOL 10.0 I'm going to stuff my AOL CDs and my 20-something inactive credit cards (that I never applied for nor activated) into a huge stock pot and make shiny trinkets out of the resulting molten plastic ooze.

Maybe sell them on ebay.

I force them on door-to-door evangelists.

We get tons of both (AOL disks and unannounced visitors). I give our reoccuring Witnesses a nice long talk about how the Internet has discussion groups dedicated to their respective faiths, and that they'll get much more insightful feedback from them than they would from me. I ignore any comments they make about being aware of the Internet or AOL, and continue talking to them as if they were fresh out of Amish country and had never heard of modern technology.

In most cases, they end up taking the AOL disk and leaving. I've only had 2 refuse out of 18 or so successes. My favorite was one who yelled "I know you're being obstinate, but I'll still pray for you!" as he left, AOL disk in hand.
