please share sl with them!! i've seen the most radical changes with the group of physically challenged adults i work with since they started playing sl.

in sl they can have what rl cant give them, in so many arenas...

what wilde cunningham (the group av of physically challenged individuals) has experienced should be experienced by others. sl has sooooo very much to offer!

i just want the whole world to have the same!!

and if i can ever be of help in this endeavor please im me inworld.

sl can change the lives of so many for good.

The only people I know that are considered 'disabled' are merely "Functionally Handicapped" (ie. Pointy Haired Bosses). I wouldn't want their kind on the internet, let alone my last bastion of escape and sanity.

I also think SL would be good for anyone stuck at home due to medical treatments or recovering from an accident or operation.

True SL changes people.

It changed me aswell...
I noticed i get headaches from all the drama.
And i've never seen soo much drama in any other game then SL.

But besides that i love my business :)
Love hanging around with friends.

I have been medically retired due to arthritis in my spine, hips and knees. Quite frankly, SL is fantastic and keeps me sane lol. I still get a thrill when I fly anywhere, i would really like to do that in RL :) I would recommend it to anyone who has mobility or any other problems.

Lilone, what you have done to help Wilde is fantastic - may it long continue.

Are you serious? WOW! I actually think SL is pretty drama free, at least for me, best action I get is in the forums... hmm maybe time to find a new crowd? lol

I know some members in SL who are disabled and I am dismayed at the treatment a few suffer in the forum. Some members have more difficulty with expression, or comprehension, or face other challenges, and we should really make an effort to have more patience and tolerance.

Instead of a knee jerk reaction accusing another of being a minor because or typos and misspelling, or being an alt because posts are limited, or even playing intentionally dumb for sympathy, why not consider the possibility that the member posting faces challenges different from our own. Instead of ridicule and sarcasm, try consideration and respect.

PATIENCE, RESPECT AND TOLERANCE!

i got a visually challenged friend who's in sl now after me constantly prodding her for months. :D it's not easy but she's fixed things to where she can enjoy it. i definitely endorse lilone's idea.

I think for anyone whose stuck in a house from either a disability or an injury, that SL can be a great escape.

It can also be good for the social interaction they may not get otherwise, SL offers alot in terms of social interaction that a general chatroom can not.

Also it could perhaps allow them to express their creativity to a large audience easily.
