Has anyone considered arranging a standard location for us to meet outside the program to chat?
I haven't been involved with IRC in a long time, so I don't know how it's come along in the past few years. I know a lot of changes have happened since the mid-to-late 90's.
Back when I was on IRC all of my waking hours, there were only a handful of networks, but today there's a hundred networks!
I'd love to establish a certian place for us to meet outside the SL environment, for times like this when we are not able to play. So what I'm wondering, is does anyone with some good and recent IRC experience have any suggestions for a network and channel (I preseme #SecondLife would be a good name) to meet up?
This would not only be good in times when the servers are down, but also when we are connected to the internet, but unable to run the SL program (such as those of us lucky enoguh to be able to run a chat room application while at work)
I openly welcome any suggestions... getting kind of twitchy now with all this withdrawl, which is kind of scary considering I've only been in SL a few days =)
