I have the free poseball script by CrystalShard. I built a couch and tried adding a ball with her script. I used it the other day on a chair it worked fine. Now for some reason I make the ball put the anim and script in size up the ball and when I try to sit on it I keep getting an error about animation permission. It will usually work the first time, but when I rotate and/or move the ball it gets that error after that. Also will things work correctly with this script if I place more then 1 ball on same object? I see a lot of couches with several poseballs.

There is a wounderfull, and free, pose ball script in the script library. All the settings are stored in a note card. I also sell a basic pose ball, witch works flawlessly with multipel pose balls in a link set.

Corey, the problem you are describing is very intresting, this is the first time anyone reported it happening. Mind sending me a copy of the problematic object? Also, feel free to move this discussion to In-world IMs, as I check those more often then the forums. -- Kurtz, I think that you are refering to my script.

CS, Leena and I saw something similar with scripted poseballs being linked to certain objects and upon standing you get the Set_permissions error. I'm pretty sure she fixed it, so you might ask her. -Ghoti

I've been getting this kind of spam off of several pieces of furniture... purchased from different people, but not so far from the stand-alone pose ball using Crystal's script in the forum. The furniture used slightly different scripts. I was just assuming that this was an update induced bug.

Sometimes I find that even point releases (1.5.x) can cause some scripts to fail; I have not noticed a pattern. Sometimes resetting the script - which you can do even on scripts you can't read - clears the problem. Sometimes I need to force a recompile by opening the script, space-backspace-save to fix it.
My total guess is that LSL interpreter changes across releases causes a script to generate a run-time error (when you, by definition, aren't there to "hear" it) and is left in a hung state.

This is totally from my own observation and may have no basis in fact, but I've noticed that if someone logs off while using something incorporating a pose, the script may get hung up and have to be reset.

From: Eggy Lippmann Buy Hiro's Kata^h^h^h^h Posecubes Now! I'm confused, are they available? I read the thread and they seem to be under development.

I get that message but the script still works. So it comes up anytime anyone sits on the chair. It's very yucky. But the little window popup is much prettier than having the message flood zee Chat.

First let me say a big thank you for those of you who helped me find and pinpoint the source of the problem. Thank you! I got the script updated in the script library. Latest version can be obtained here: /54/7b/27543/1.html#post271051(version is now 4.3) I have also tweaked the script to hide/show balls better when linked with other balls on the same object. I will update the boxs that give the scripts away in my shop and the GNU shop in an hour or so. I will also send updates to anyone who got one of the boxs for the last two weeks or so. Here's for another bug free season until the next SL patch.
