Stairway to HELL?!?!

If anyone has ever listened to the original stair way to heaven song, have you ever tried to play it backwards? I found THIS website, try downloading the clip as well as playing it backwards on the site. Go into Goldwave or any other sound editing program, reverse it, and sure enough, you will hear a satanic message.....

What you'll hear is the song backward. I think you're reading FAR too deep into it... a satanic message? Comeon.

Did you know that if you recorded the word tit and play it backwards it sounds like tit? Or that the word lick would sound like kill??

Oh my.. satan has his nasty little hands on us now!

Backwards songs are fun stuff. I remember being blown away back when I was 12 years old listening to Klaatu. The thing we stumbled on was the songs, "Silly Boys" and "Anus of Uranus".

At the time, "Silly Boys" was the last song on the last (most recent) album. Playing it forward, it "sounds" backwards and the lyrics on the sleeve were baackwards and had to be read in a mirror. So, naturally, we played the song backwards. We were shocked and amazed to hear the entire lyrics to the first song on their first album, "Anus of Uranus".

We then played "Anus of Uranus" backwards and heard the lyrics to "Silly Boys". These albums were released a few years apart, so we were really blown away. There was a lot of mysteious stuff concerning Klaatu, rumors they were the Beatles after they broke up, among some of the mysteries. Im sure being 12 years old added to the mystery.

Anyone else heard of Klaatu? They seemed to have been a very rare find for the time, I think I was one of their only fans, lol.

I have found clearly discernible on-topic backwards messagess in songs I have recorded. It's very freaky. Whether you believe they are purely accidental, subconsciously created, or demonic they do happen and they are very weird.

In a way, it does. Since backwards speech (or music, or whatever) is pretty much random syllables, any coherent message you hear in them is a projection of your thoughts.

You know, with practice, you could learn to pronounce your speech and select words so that EVERYTHING you said contained hidden messages when played backwards. Step two would obviously be to get a job as a talk show host.

I remember when everyone was making such a big fuss about "I am the Walrus" saying "Paul is Dead" backwards. He's not dead.

Here's the fun thing:

1) Record yourself saying something
2) Reverse it
3) Play it over and over trying to say it like that
4) Record your "reverse speak"
5) Reverse IT and play it back

You end up with an accent. I await someone's results as to WHAT accent you end up with.

If you look hard enough for satanic messages in cloud formations, tea leaves, or the rorschach test, I can assure you that you will find them.

Though when *I* play music backwards I hear things like "Aimee could use some pizza" but this only happens around dinner time.
