I got a notice from you guys that my you couldn't charge my card. Impossible! I contacted my bank and verified that I have plenty of room for the charge and I am in good standing (i.e. not late). Also, you put a $1 authorization through on the account, so you must've had the correct account number. And now I'm on PROBATION? Wooooooo! I feel evil. Comeon... charge me and let's get back to our regularly scheduled programming!

They must've had an error with thier billing app.
So, does this mean we cannot log in while on probation?

Must be epidemic on the web today - I can log into World of Warcraft, but there was a big caveat that stated that many members were having a problem with not being able to have their fees paid with credit cards - something like that. I wonder what is up that it is effecting many types of fee/charging systems?

Well, let's just hope SL never gets tagged as an online casino, because then we will not be able to pay with credit cards!

So, does this mean we cannot log in while on probation? Heh, I had this issue about a month ago, when I cancelled CC, and forgot to switch over to new one. Dont worry LL will keep trying to bill for a week, during this time you can still login and do things as normal. -Adam

Oh, yeah - also, if it's urgent or there is some weird unexplained problem still: billing@lindenlab.com IIRC

I've had that too. My card was valid, i had money on it. I was pretty confused, got a bit paranoid, and thought Lindens just wanted to get rid of me. It turned out it was an error on Visa's part. I had managed to break my card in two by sitting on it a couple of months earlier, and I got a new card. Same card number, just new expiration date. Visa, on the other hand, had NOT updated their database properly with my new card exp. date, and had my card listed as expired. It was a mess, but i managed to have my bank send me a brand new card within the week. If you call your bank, they should be able to see WHY the transaction was declined. Also, I managed (after some serious nagging) to get the Billing-Linden to tell me the error code (card expired). Or I would never had found out. My bank insisted the card was ok, and VISA was hell to work with. After i got Billing-Linden to tell me, i finally managed to convince my bank that my card was in fact, NOT valid. Funny thing was that my card WAS valid on all local transactions, just not international ones.

Hey handsome....they did that to Darko to. They emailed him a couple of times saying they couldn't charge our credit card and then they said they were going to suspend his account. It is an error on their part, not yours. It blows.

Happened to me too, but what caused it was (UGH) my cc changed banks, and they gave me a new account number and all the things that were autobilled on that card started sending me cancelation notices... It was a p. i. t. a.
