You can please everyone some of the time, and you can please most people all of the time, but you can't please everyone all of the time.
Bravo to LL's recent trend of taking back the forum and taking action against the most obvious and chronic bunch of our griefers.
Since then I've witnessed:
- Less name-calling
- Many mature discussions of touchy subjects
- Less people leaving citing forum harassment as the reason
- Less spam in the forums
As a downside, I've witnessed:

Bravo to LL's recent trend of taking back the forum and taking action against the most obvious and chronic of our griefers. Since then I've witnessed: I make fewer excuses on behalf of the SL community to RL friends looking over my shoulder when they ask, "You actually pay money to keep the company of these lunatics?" As a downside, I've witnessed: I spend more on coffee to get my blood boiling -- something my body has apparently gotten accustomed to reading posts here. |

I've been reading the SL forums. Dunno bout you. And I've seen them getting exponentially worse for: - personal attacks rather than discussing, well, anything. - discussions turning into childish tit for tat and knee jerk reactions by a bunch of bigotted extremists - more people leaving because the place is just a joke - and a ton more crap while everyone whines about all of the above Funny how different people read different stuff into the same situation, innit? |

Sorry to be the snide inconsiderate asshole here. But, you know what the forums have degenerated to where only trolling is the only worth while effort. Legitimate discussions are derailed at whim and some people dont get that we have the right to disagree...Vehemently even.
