Some weeks ago a bought Sega Genesis for $15 from an acquaintance. I'd been thinking about buying a Genesis for a long time and I finally did (I regret having sold mine back in 1997).
I have a lot of classics but I'm still missing some including: Sonic and Knuckles, Road Rash 3, Toejam and Earl, Toejam and Earl: Panic on Funkotron, and others I can't remember at the moment.
Tell me your favorite games for the Genesis. What game/s do you recommend I buy next? Did any of you ever play Herzog Zwei, the grand-daddy of RTS games?

Never played Herzog Zwei, but I love the Genesis, haven't played it in awhile, but got some ROMs which are fun... My faves are, any Sonic game (even Sonic Spinball), Vector Man (1 and 2), Sketchin (skater game, kinda like road rash but with roller blades), Road Rash 3, the Strike games (one with the helicopter), the X-Men games (they were pretty well done), Mortal Kombats, those are all I can think of for now, but the Genesis was a great system.

Herzog RULES! I just love it! I played it to death, though I never had a Genesis. I downloaded it and ran under an emulator. I have a few hundred genesis roms if you're interested You can use them under an emulator to see what games you like, and then buy them on ebay, or just get some of those rewritable cart thingies and burn your own copies.

Pugsy - My fav game for Genesis, different than most in that it is like a puzzle that requires some thinking to get through not just nimble fingers....
Also , Aero Acrobat, not the easiest but provides hours of entertainment.

Landstalker and Kid Chameleon Gotta get those two on ROMs so I don't have to dig the Genesis box out of the basement.
