Now would it not be cool if we could download our inventory to a file that we could use Windows explorer to organize our inventory then upload it back up? we could do it during down time even. our inventory would stay more uncluttered. with windows explorer can more easily move files dont have to put bunches of things in a folder then move them. during downtime could do this. i would even pay a few bucks to have to upload it as we do textures. if you would like to be able to do this contact support@secondlife.com maybe if enough of us show an interest in doing this maybe sl or linden labs would consider it and make it possible. well its just an idea..smiles

I don't think they want the actual inventory items on our side though as that leads to duping and other exploits.

I am not sure, but I'd think being able to edit inventory from Windows would mean being able to duplicate items which would otherwise be "no copy" inworld (by simply copying the objects "file" in windows).... and other such things. I am not so sure what it would let people do, but I'm sure there would be plenty if we picked a hackers brain for a few minutes. *edit* sorry, I walked away from the pc for a few after hitting reply
