I know we had our disagreements Billy, but I dont wish anyone to be alone during the holidays... I hope you find a friend to share it with.

I am often alone on the holidays, but going somewhere today - late though. I will be around to share the day with ya. You can watch me maked roasted garlic mashed potatoes!

Can't help you Billy. Being a Brit, we don't do thanksgiving. And frankly we're not likely to give thanks that we chased away a boatload of Brits and the bastages went and founded a world superpower headed by a fully fledged lunatic.

Err... that is what Thanksgiving is for, right? 'Thank God we're not still Brits?'

Nope, that's Independance Day Kris... Thanksgiving is where the Brits got rid of their fugitives and religous whack-jobs and sent them to untamed wilderness to be eaten by cannibal savages.....

Thanksgiving is just the US's way of saying, hey nice Native American Indians, thanks for helping us survive, you're not all that bad... Oh and by the way... As we expand, we will start slaughtering you all as a token of our appreciation. But, seriously... Thanks for the Turkey!

Its just another military holiday - true, but we never pass up a chance to have days off and a good meal. Let them call it what they want. :D

Ah. I thought it was more about giving thanks that the religious whack-jobs 'escaped' from us, rather than thanking the Indians for giving up their land to them when they got there.

All those things to be thankful for!

I've been there Billy. Went to my Captains house to eat one christmas in the army. Always felt like an intruder. Head down to the chow hall usually some good eats on the holidays and several other ppl in your situation. Enjoy your Holiday Billy and have fun.

Happy Thanksgiving, Billy. With SL being internation, there should be folks online so you don't have to feel alone. :)

billy, if you can slip over to an AF chow hall. They always have the best food. I remember Thanksgiving in NH. They were even serving white wine. And it was the Generals in the chow hall giving us our food.

Oh, I too am alone today. Me and some meatloaf. Come on over to SWG if you want company.

A big Hooah, Billy.

I've spent Thanksgiving on base, and you are right, it is probably not as bad as spending it at a sponsor's home. I never did go to sponsors home for the holiday, but my parents had a sailor come over from Great Lakes Naval Base one time. Poor guy, he was so shy and obviously uncomfortable.

I personally hate the Holidays. Last year I sent my wife to Poland for a couple of months so that I could spend Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's in total peace.

Well, for whatever is worth, many of us in SL with be with you in spirit.

our entire household feels VERY far from home today, so we're gathering up everyone we can find who needs a table :)

Icon PFFT. No being a scrooge! lol I'm teasing. I'm well aware of your hatred of all things "merry and bright" lol. I promise I'll try not to be overly full of Christmas spirit around you but only because I love you :P. Then again I might dance around and throw tinsel on you BECAUSE I love you :D :D.
