Need Favorites/bookmarks manager recommendations

I have Internet Explorer 6. My favorites/bookmarks have gotten completely out of control, and now I can't find a thing. There are so many of them, and I need a good tool I can use to quickly and easily

- create initial categories
- check the URLs and rename them if necessary
- move them to an appropriate category
- create new categories on the fly, and move groups of URLs to them
- export an html file

I've used several different tools in the past, but it's been a long time.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good tool for this? Gotta be a freebie or no more than say $5.00.

Thanks,
Candie

Edited to say:

Also, I used to use Opera for years and really loved it. Was a long time ago. Then there were things I just couldn't do with it. Got lots of errors.

I'm thinking of going back to it because I'm really sick of IE. Does anyone use it? Like it? Problems I need to know about it?

Any other browser recommendations? Anything Bill Gates prevents me from doing if I use another browser?

Thanks,
Candie

P.S. If there's been another thread on this that I missed please just point to it. I searched but didn't see one.

I use Mozilla Firefox ... it's basically developed from Netscape.

It passes every test the w3c can throw at it (which is more than can be said for IE6).

Part of the problem you get when moving from IE to any other browser isn't due to the 'other' being broken, but rather IE not keeping to standards. F'rinstance, javascript written to work with IE6 will ONLY work with IE6, usually not even IE5. Javascript writen for Any Other Browser (TM) tends to work with anything except IE.

Anyway, anti-ms spiel aside, if you have a lot of bookmarks to pages that are IE specific, you will have problems moving away.

Hope this helps,

Sio.
