are you lowing prices based on the changes? thinking about it?

personally im taking a wait and see approach. i dont think the changes are as dire as some are making it out to be, but if enough people think its a huge issue it will become one.

no because my trees only cost 100L to begin with. and you get three trees in one for that price so each texture only actually costs 33L. when that price seems overly burdensome to the general population, i'll lower it.

i am planning on giving seasonal trees as prizes from now on.

My prices are determined by the value of the linden. I try to keep in mind what a fair real world price is, and if the value that my products sell for gets too high (in US$), then I'll lower them to keep them reasonable. But I'm not about take a machete to my price list at this point in time.

No. My stuff has always been very inexpensive and newbie-friendly priced anyway. I've started a 'Sale' spot, but that's just because I create so much I need to clear some space.

I did yesterday and notified everyone that's purchased from me in the last month (since I've been open) along with a small refund. Result = I've made just as much as I would have at the regular prices. I don't know how long that will continue, but to me it says that people like my stuff and are willing to spend a set amount before they even walk in the store. If I give them more for their money, its not hurting me in the least.

I plan on keeping the newest items at a more "regular" price - which is still very reasonable I've been told - and then dropping it when the next new set of furniture comes out.

did you raise them for the holidays? or is this just a discount from the original prices?

Same in the US too - more for overstock reasons I imagine, and to make way for the next round of holiday/seasonal stuff.

hmmm...
Ok my prices won't change, I didnt decide them as to what the 'economy' was and is.
My prices come from what costs for uploading (that hasn't changed) and the work that went into them, on my pc as well as making the item on sl.

Also.... When I signed up all i knew I would be getting was the basic stripend. Took me ages to work out where the extra was coming from and as it said, its a bonus. Lindens didnt have to give a bonus.
So as far as I see it no loss.

Many times I have been without money. but what does it cost to make something from a prim, and add more prims and add textures to try and sell it. thats how I saw it and thats how I started, there's so many things that are free that you can use, not just building.

So my prices I hope reflect my work not the economy.

On another note. This rating cost. I don't mind it, but now the people that bad rated me all 3 out of spite, they won't ever put it back to no rating now. but will stop others bad rating all 3 also.
Sorry had to mention that :-p

I picked maybe, as of right now I think my prices are pretty fair even with the changes... if I see reason, I may drop them a little later on.

I lowered mine, but a few days before the changes were announced. My sales had tapered off a lot due to there being so many great designers in the world now, and a lot of my stock having been around for eons. It just seemed like a good time to make my stuff more accessible to more people.

just a discount from the oruginal prices, i almost finished (lowering them in 10 between shops and stalls in malls is a long thing lol)

Edit: Done at last.... this sure has been a long haul, lol. Prices reduced of a percentage varying between 15 and 50%, hope this will help the ones that have been hit harder by the economic changes (me included :D ) feel at lest a lil bit better...

I don't intend lowering prices, at least yet. Though I'll probably put out some of my older range (that's been off the shelves since October) back at a lower cost at about the same time my new range comes out.

Having said that, I suppose I could lower the price on tee-shirts without much effort...

I haven't lowered prices myself, I think that they're fair enough as they are. Of course, once I have more outfits in store, I'll probably do special sales at some point.

I lowered my prices on my furniture because I decided to try to cash in on the mass hysteria over the economic changes in SL...when this panic has passed I will go back to my original prices and continue to not sell a damn thing - just at a higher price. Someone out there understood that I know you did. :)
