Oceana Continent Expands!

The continent of Oceana has expanded! We are now five sims strong. The original sims were Amaterasu and Kumori and on July 30, 2004 we of FairChang Island joined them.
Yesterday we welcomed the addition of Montmarte and Numbakulla.
Come visit and add us to your favorite picks!
I am attaching a picture of the configuration. Unfortunatly the newly joined sims still show foggy on the map.

grats you all. is numbakulla still going to disappear between january and april 05? or has that planned changed? nm, i'll ask the owner. ha ha ha now i'm posting like i chat without deleting anything as i type.

Khamon, this doesn't change anything to do with the Island project competition. I was going to post this earlier but remembered the last time somebody posted that their island had moved and got shot down in flames, so decided against it. All that's changed is the positioning of the sim, it's still a sandbox and if there's a suitable winning project for the competition, they'll still get the sim as previously announced. |

Yeah, it threw me this morning as I hadn't actually confirmed to Linden Lab that I was happy with the charge which they specifically said I would have to agree to before they moved it. Anyway woke up this morning intending to speak some more to Higbee about a couple of issues to do with joining islands and found that the island had been moved already and I'd been billed! Somebody at LL has a very sharp email waiting for them when they get in the office over that. I had always planned to eventually move Numbakulla to Oceana though, but hadn't quite worked out some of the potential issues when it was all taken out of my hands by those wonderful, credit-card-charge-happy Linden Lab boys and girls, who told me the rule that I had to specifically agree to the charge and then went and ignored it anyway. But I'm glad it's joined and here's to the future of Oceana! |

That really sucks Moopf! Higbee tells me your worked everything out though, so I'm happy to hear that. I feel bad that your joining us had to be filled with that bit of drama, but happy that you're there regardless. And thanks again for the invite last night Merwan! I don't get to be as social as I'd like to be, so it was nice taking some time to hang out with everyone. Thanks everyone, I had lots o' fun!

hehe But Psyra with the group we have you can never be sure it will stay that way! rofl
The Parks & Rec Service thinks of a sim as a single mass of land, regardless of the shape because the sim land shape could change at anytime. Therefore we call a mass of sims a continent because "continent" encompasses a larger range of possible land shapes then for example an Archipelagos =)
The title we have is actually the Islands of Oceana, but you know people and names =) So naturally most of us just call it Oceana now hahah
Regardless I am soooo excited to see what happens down round these parts =D hehehe Either way, we've got some awesome new neighbors!

Princess told me this the other day at Merwan's Excellent! shindig, and now I find this thread... and it's SOOO exciting. If you guys keep adding on sims and expanding outward, we'll have a formiddable second mainlan continent in SL -- not something to be sneezed at at all, since you had to cooperate and work together towards a single vision to achieve such unity. Moopf, sorry to hear about the bumps too. I hope it gets worked out to your satisfaction in time. Oceana it is, then. I'll be visiting regularly! ONWARDS |
