You're just barely under the minimum requirements.

According to the SL download page:
Minimum Requirements:

800MHZ or higher
256MB RAM
Windows 2000/XP
Nvidia Geforce 2 (32MB RAM) or higher, ATI Radeon 8500 (32MB RAM) or higher
Broadband Internet Connection (DSL/Cable Modem/LAN)

Try setting all the graphics options to the bare minima. Otherwise, I'd recommend upgrading.

seriously. I used to run 512 and upped to 1gig ram. I cant imagine running on 128.

Shop around. Memory is cheap these days. Crucial.com. kensington.com and good ole fashioned ebay if you know exactly what you need.

You should also try lowering your draw distance from the default.

What's your video card? It makes a BIG difference.

AGP cards are faster than PCI, and you want to make sure you are able to run in AGP mode. There lots of forum threads and knowledge base entries about it.
