Could it be that Linden Labs has their priorities going in the wrong direction? It has long been known that they have no interest in fixing crash’s with their personal vendetta against ATI, now they want to plunge the SL economy into a depression. Lindens want to cut the money supply but I see nothing about reducing our land use fees. We are now expected to pay the same fees for land that will become virtually worthless with the impending SL depression. Anyone that has visited the IGE website since they partnered with Linden knows that you can no longer buy anything less than 10,000 lindens. Funny that this occurs at the same time the Lindens want to reduce the supply of money. With less money to spend residents will buy less, or they will have to buy lindens. If the Lindens want to be fair about their induced depression they should reduce our fees also and enjoy a little depression of their own. Land is already volatile because of Lindens lack of zoning, you can buy a nice piece of land and have a big obnoxious club or mall go in next door and your land is worthless. Now they want to make the land worthless because no one will be able to afford it. Linden Labs policy seems to be one of if it ain’t broke fix it, if it is broke ignore it. Seems all this energy could be better used to fix the seemingly endless crashes instead of ruining the economy. Work harder on reducing the down time and equipment failures which are the real problems instead of trying to ruin the economy.

Can some of you please just stop and read the discourse that's already occured on this topic please - there are plenty of threads, I'm sure you'll see a few of them on the front page of this forum. Maybe join one of those rather than starting another one, it makes for a better debate if people are concentrated on a few threads. But here's a flip side to you wanting your land tier fees lowered: if they grant you your wish, watch them raise them through the roof when land prices are really high as well You can't have it both ways. Do you want stability in your land tier prices? Yes, I thought so. Run for the freaking hills

It has long been known that they have no interest in fixing crash’s with their personal vendetta against ATI... Actually, I'm not sure what they did, maybe nothing... but I haven't had a single crash with my ATI 9600pro since the latest upgrade. Yes, I'm knocking on the wooden desk here, but it's true. Before that series of painful upgrades, I frequently suffered the crash-every-five-minutes problem. It was painful and mostly happened while I was building. In the last month, I've spent more time building, and the builds have been larger than ever. So, I'm happy that SL and my ATI card seem to be getting along these days.

Actually, the ATI issues were on ATI, not LL. The blame goes to ATI's less than stellar drivers.

ATi drivers have always been a problem...USe Omega drivers instead of the ATI ones and you'll be fine...and yes ATI encourages the use of Omega drivers.

Does that mean thin Naked Flying Babies are OK, then? I mean, if you're going to make the distinction that the naked flying babies are fat - it does give one pause to consider the alternative.... Of course, Econ-101 teaches us that Naked Flying Babies is ALWAYS a harbinger of hyper-deflation of the dollar in the global marketplace; so we REALLY ought to throw more money at them. Giving out lots of free money will make the babies go away (that's in Econ-102)! Ah, life is so convenient when you can ignore all those pesky "fact" things that get in the way of all the fun! .....Sorry, I've been posting seriously like a maniac for nearly 24 hours. Even at the expense of bumping it, with this innane thread, I *had* to respond. *grin* Take care, --Noel "HB" Wade (Tread Whiplash)
