If you are using MySQL on the Windows platform (including those who use the popular DJ software SAM), be sure to check that your password is secure (combo of letters/numbers/ and a symbol. not a dictionary word) - there is currently a worm going around that breaks into MySQL through brute force password attack, then takes advantage of a flaw in MySQL to put a piece of control software on the system.
