Trapped in rezzing buildings- how to avoid

When I fly from the nearest teleport to my land in Afton, I tend to get stuck in tall, still-rezzing buildings. Sometimes for a minute or more as I have to wait till the building becomes visible so I can find my way out.
Any tricks or workarounds to avoid this?
