I downloaded the "preview" thingie which went on my desk top, as someone advised doing, ahead of time.

What am I supposed to do, click on preview from now on to get in?

I don't want to do the wrong thing.

Thank you in advance for an answer. I am new and have never done an update before.

SL is already open just takes A WHILEEEEEEE to get in :p

i know that, it;s just that i'm sitting here now with two versions on my desktop - one that says SL and one that says SL Preview.

Am I supposed to click on one or the other?

Or did I do something wrong downloading it as a preview?

Don't log on to the preview, its not the same grid
when you dl the update, it will replace the old sl and should show up on your desktop as just SL, not SL preview.

you might as well delete the one that says "sl preview" since the preview is now current, theres no use for it.

OK, thank you - I must have misunderstood that earlier thread where someone was saying go ahead and get started by downloading the preview or something.

The preview grid isn't the same as the new release - go to the downloads page (https://secondlife.com/downloads/index.php) and you will be able to download 1.6. :)
