A really strange issue with deleting things in Inventory.

Ok, I have to know if this happens to anyone else.

I noticed a few days ago that when i attempt to delete more than about 5 items from my inventory at once, some of the items will go to the trash folder, while others dissapear temporarily and then reaapear in the list one by one.
Attempting to delete more than about 10 files at once results in SL Death (red minimap, cant move, world dissapears).
It doesnt matter which folder I am deleting from, I have had it happen in all of them. I desperately need to clean out my inventory- has this happened to anyone else, should I bug report it, does anyone know how to work around it aside from deleting items one by one?

This has been happening to a lot of people, you're not alone. It seems in a recent update, they broke the two semi-decent features the inventory window had. You can now not delete a large group of items at once without them randomly coming back one by one like undead prim shoes , and you also cannot drag between two inventory windows without both windows updating to the new folder. For some reason, they seem to really really want us to work with inventory items one by one, since we have been asking for multiple item selection since, I don't know, EARLY BETA, and now they are taking away the few things that helped a little with inventory management of multiple items.

Ummm you can delete more than one thing at a time in inventory??? Damn, I still feel like a newb!!!

MrsJakal- you used to be able to select multiple items for deleting by holding shift or ctrl and clicking on them in inventory. so sad, this was one of my best organizational tools, being able to nuke large lists of stuff

Ugh Nephi, yes I found this out when organizing my inventory. It just pops anything over 5 items right back. I also am enjoying the fact that both inventory windows will update when you move anything besides a folder. *sigh*

omg this is depressing news - i have been sorting out my inventory and recently deleted a couple of hundred items. Could you solve the problem by emptying the trashcan as soon as you have deleted, I wonder?

I hope LL soon start work on improving the inventories.

Actually I havnt sorted inventory since February, but I sometimes delete everything named "Object" "Snapshot" and "New (insert clothing item)"

I found a newbie pointer way down in the bottom of my objects folder once when sorting by date...

If I expand all the folders and I mean all except library... Then hold the mouse button down on a scroll button it takes 47 minutes to get from top to bottom.. that timed figure is 2 or 3 months old now, Im sure Im over an hour to scroll now...

The day Inventory tools get attention is the ummm week I set Busy and sort...

I've had this for ages and ages and ages.

The trick is to merely wait a two or three-count before hitting delete. You're deleting too "fast" for the server, so it's not realizing you have all those things selected. If you wait a few seconds before hitting delete, they all get deleted.

I have had something similar happen to me a few days ago where hosequeen was giving me some folders and i was not seeing them in my inventory...so she tried passing me folders till i finally got the set..the next day i found all the folders she passed to me appear in my inventory.. there is something wacked with the inventory alright
