What is your opinion about the recent satellite / spybot controversy. Choose all that apply. Poll is *NOT* anonymous -- everyone can see your choices.

There are legitimate uses for rovers. Now, something that spies on someone would be against the TOS already.

Cheese it is.

Hank Ramos has a thread that hits closer to the mark. It's not a question of scanning or what is being scanned. It's a question of objects defeating a land owners attempts to prevent/remove them.

To clarify, this is about the objects discussed here:

/108/39/38280/1.html

Some people don't have a problem with "Rovers" that don't try to elude detection or self replicate.

(Although people who have "property rights" concerns probably won't like "rovers" either)

I think people who are concerned about that should select the "property rights" selection, that's kind of what it is meant to include. (I wish I had included that specifically as one of the choices, too late now!)

I guess im one of those that fall on the property rights angle of it.
If by rover, you mean on object that flys around from sim to sim,
gathering information, I wouldnt have an issue with one of these
passing over my land from time to time. But that is a completely
different thing than the objects that are being constantly sent to
my land, one after another 24/7. Always there, and no way for
me to say otherwise.

I am sick of cheese. Cheese uses my sim's resources without my permission, and it gets all melty when I try to neg-rate it. :(

Pie is only good with an escort and a side order of sex balls.
