LOL I can actually see it now. A bunch of elephant's Avatars paradeing around on a giant catwalk (or is that elephant-walk? lol) strutting and showing there latest fashions. Man it would be a circus! LOLOLOL Couldn't resist sorry........... On Encounters: "My God, Peggy, I thought we were both dead." - George S. Kaufman at age 71 on encountering an old friend..........

Would it be a circus? Or a media circus? What's the difference?

Can we start placing bets on how soon one of the models is going to get annoyed and start trampling the wardrobe department?

This just goes to show what calculating, thinking animals elephants are: Hungry elephants hijack sugar trucks From correspondents in Bangkok HUNGRY elephants have gone on the rampage in eastern Thailand, ransacking villagers' plantations and forcing sugarcane trucks to stop so they can raid their goods. Dry-season shortages have forced the 130 elephants from Ang Lue Nai wildlife sanctuary, which sprawls over five provinces, to seek food and water in nearby settlements, the sanctuary's chief Yoo Senatham told the Bangkok Post. Yoo said the elephants had learned to pick up sugarcane dropped by drivers who took pity on them, but that the practice had taught them dangerous new habits. He told the daily of incidents where the leader of the herd had stood in the road to block the vehicle while the others unloaded the produce with their trunks.Faced with the shortage of natural fodder in the jungle, the animals were now "just waiting for food to be dropped, rather than looking for food. This is dangerous," he said. Truck drivers are now banned from dropping food in the hope the elephants will stop their aggressive behaviour. Yoo said villagers would build an electric fence to protect their crops and set up a mechanism so they could mobilise quickly to disperse the animals when they came on a raid. Agence France-Presse I personally witnessed Baboons doing exactly the same thing. They waited for the tour bus, one of them ran out in front of the bus and when the bus stopped, the others came out of the brush and started jumping into the open bus windows and taking purses and sack lunches. People SO underestimate animals. I would bet that they even have a "fashion sense".

I believe it. I wonder if they had a hard time explaining to the boss that elephant highway robbers held them up? Or the people explaining to their insurence that a monkeys held up the bus and snatched their purses. I wonder if they had a hard time explaining to the boss that elephant highway robbers held them up? Or the people explaining to their insurence that a monkeys held up the bus and snatched their purses. They tell the people on the tour bus not to bring anything that is valuable and pre-warn most of them. When I was in South Africa - one of the first things I did was secure my passpost in the hotel safe anyhow. Stupid me - I decided to get out of the car that I was in and photograph these buggers doing this. The Baboon leader stopped in the middle of the road after his gang had already gone back into the bush with their loot and turned toward me and I swear - this suckers eyes looked just like Robert D'Niro's in Taxi. All my SA friends in the car are yelling for me to "GET BACK IN THE CAR".. I'm backing up still snapping pics. Typical freakin tourist. I did get some AWESOME pics though. Wish I'd seen some elephants, but I was not in that part of Africa.

Monkey muggers! I still can't get over it. I'm picturing someone getting "suspicious activity" calls from their credit card company..."Did you purchase 25 crates of premium bananas on the night of the 15th?"
