Second Edition looking to expand coverage

Hello,

Second Edition has consistently drawn higher traffic than I expected, and has almost doubled in the past month - it is averaging about 500 unique visits a day on the blog itself and a surprisingly high amount of people using the XML versions as well. It ranks after the forums and knowledge base as the highest traffic parts of the site. With that in mind, I would like to expand the coverage of Second Edition to include not only what is going on with Second Life itself, but what is going on in Second Life. If you are interested in writing about things of interest that are happening in Second Life (significant events, noteworthy builds, unique objects, etc.) that would have widespread appeal to SL users, please let me know. You can IM me in world or send an email to cristiano@sluniverse.com.

Very cool, Cristiano. Were you looking for reporters to hit different "beats," or more of a freelance approach? I would certainly contribute an article or two. I will touch bases with you when I get back in-world, late Sat. evening.

Paolo,

I'm actually open to any ideas - I just want to cover more of what is happening in SL in order to expand the "news" content of the site. I definitely don't want to get bogged down in classifieds and event annoucements, but there is still a lot of interesting stuff that goes on in SL that I would like to cover.

Hmm, is there a "minimum or articles to submit each month", or any limit of this kind?

This sounds like something interesting to do, but I know myself... my writing rythm really depends on too many factors for me to be able to always write the same amount, unfortunately *sighs* But if there's the possibility of submitting one article here and there, without necessarily "having" to do it at all costs... yes, that definitively sounds interesting, and doable :)

Tanaquil,

It would be totally voluntary, you can submit however frequently or infrequently as you wish. Hell, I have some writers who asked to write for me and then have never submitted anything lol. Let me know if you are interested :)

I think I'd be interested, yes :) As long as it doesn't become a job, I like to do this kind of things, hehe. I'll try to catch you in world sometime then, will likely be more convenient.
