No, it's the Sunday Mirror, the Sunday edition of the popular Daily Mirror tabloid.

Is the New York Post a "US joke rag"?

I could be wrong about this, but aren't the NY Post and the Mirror both owned by Rupert Murdoch?

No, Murdoch owns the Sunday and Daily Mirror of Sydney, Australia. Trinity Mirror owns the London version and claims to be the UK's largest newspaper publisher.

Murdoch owns the Sun - which is like the Mirror but Tory supporting. He also owns The Times in the UK, and Sky Television.

Well, yes, it is, pretty much. That doesn't make this story any less a load of crap. Divorcees haven't been ostracised in this country for about fifty years -you'd find it pretty hard to have any friends if you did - and Prince Charles doesn't need anyone's approval to come here, seeing as he owns about a million hectares of land in the US.

I wonder if the royals will reciprocate by banning known drug abusers from Buckingham Palace?

Murdoch doesn't own Sky TV. His company, News International, owns a 30% stake in the channel. Trinity Mirror are the largest newspaper company in the UK, as they hold many local and regional newspapers. However, if just the circulation of the company's national newspapers is to be taken into account, The Sun wins out.

And as for truly great newspapers, does anyone "read" the Daily Sport? :p

No but I jot down the 0870 numbers, see the big fake breasts, look at the problem page, fall off my chair laughing, then skim over the article about aliens being found in a bus on mars!
