Hi, I new to all this.
I don't know if this is written some where else already, but the forum search turn out zero and so did Goggle. So I'm asking here.
Is there anyway to turn off or change the bump sound(sound you make when you bump into things)? Because it's driving me crazy. I know I can mute all sound, but I won't be able to hear anything then.

I don't think there's any way to turn it off, actually. Why, do you bump into things all the time?

Well, I tried this in an object... then attached it:
default { state_entry() { llCollisionSound("", 0.0); } }
However that did not work... lol... if you want physical objects not to make noise, that will definitely work however.
EDIT: noise... not noice

If you go into Preferences - Audio, you can mess around with stuff in there. I noticed that Rolloff factor slightly helps (putting it all the way to the right). Also of course doing System all the way down (all the way to the left), will turn it off, but it will also stop typing noises, etc.
So there doesn't seem to be any specific way to singularly disable the bump noise. :/

Hello all, thanks for the replies.
From the looks of it I will have to live with muting the sound.
Regarding why I keep bumping into stuff, well I get impatience sometimes waiting for the whole scene to download, and start walking around knocking into invisible walls. Not that I can tell whether the scene has complete loading or not. And some stairs seem to make the sound too when I climb them.
