Because I had trouble logging into 2nd life …I tried logging into 1st life

Logging on to 1st life worked really well…but the teleporters are not working. I stood at something called a “Bus Stop” for hours and nothing, did not go anywhere. Also my L$ were changed to US dollars…that was sad…I only have $20 left ….And I can’t change my skin!! I’m stuck with a skin of a 35 year old I tried to reboot (sleep) but I still have that skin….my god where are my abs!! (And there is something wrong with my “play sexy” attachment)

Also my big beautiful casino and club have now turned into a two bedroom apartment…. Is any one else having this problem? Will the Lindens come out with a patch or update to 1st life soon?

i wuz bored w RL so i started griefing bumping people at the club lololol and u know wut the lindens didnt ban me lololol111 but teh police put me in a 10m cube

I've almost stopped playing First Life. The lag is horrible, especially on Monday mornings, rendering it virtually unplayable. Griefers abound and are barely constrained by the in-game staff. Customer service is non-existant. I'm not getting any stipend at all, so I'm forced to grind unrewarding repetitive tasks for miniscule amounts of cash. The interface is too complex and it doesn't come with even the most basic instruction manual.

First Life not only charges for land, but there is a huge annual fee (or "tax" to maintain it... and you have to PAY for building materials! This doesn't stop people from throwing up some of the puke-ugliest, boring builds you've ever seen - strip malls abound. Even the clothing tends to be drab and uninspired. And don't get me started on the huge time-sink of moving from place to place. Ugh. At least let us fly past some of this garbage.

The pollution, disease, starvation and death subsystems all need significant developer time if First Life is going to provide any degree of entertainment. PvP is just plain painful, and the less said about it, the better.

First Life has potential to be a rewarding play experience, but it will require a serious investment by both developers and players to get to that point.

I seem to have logged into a really annoying program. I have to spend 5 days at this terribly aggrivating boring place in order to save enough resources to have 2 days to myself.

Did I log into TSO by accident?

I've run into a bug in 1st life that makes my avatar lag horribly and navigate badly, and sometimes it scrambles my chat. It has made the whole interface very painful to use. It can be fixed by running a script called "Aspirin," but I have to re-run the script every 4 hours, about. (Mabye it's some kind of memory leak.) Worst of all, the client boots by itself if I miss running the script. I hear there's a patch, but it has the unappealing code-name "root canal," and it won't be available until this Thursday.
