This little note (Yeah Right!) has two purposes, the secondary purpose of this note is to bring people to the Red River City Poker Room, but it's certainly NOT the most important purpose. I want to say THANK YOU to one of the most intelligent scripters SL has in its midst, Mr Fairplay. Recently Mr Fairplay and I entered into a business arrangement whereby he would provide the Texas Hold Em Poker Tables to the Red River City Poker Room for no cost to us and Mr Fairplay would keep ALL profits, with the exception that 25% of the profits would be donated to a charity of his choice. When I entered into this arrangement, I was skeptical to say the least. Although I have known Mr Fairplay for quite some time, it still was a bit unnerving giving total control to someone that isn't even involved in the Community. Instead of Mr Fairplay resting on his finished work, and a wonderful work it was, iinstead, Mr Fairplay continued to tweak and upgrade his Texas Hold EM Poker Tables in Red River City. Mr Fairplay even invited the Red River City participants to join him in a group meant for his dealers, so we would be able to have dealers available for those that wanted to play when Mr Fairplay wasn't around. To my complete amazement two evenings ago, I found that Mr Fairplay has done away with dealers on his Poker Tables. That's right, Mr Fairplay added another 100 hours of coding so his Poker Tables would not need to incorporate dealers. Now, don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I agree that having a dealer can be fun, but the problem is, what happens at 3AM when you and 4 friends want to play some poker and no dealers are available? Well, that question is now mute, because the new Poker Tables can declare any rounds winner. I've seen it even split the pot between THREE people who held identical hands! This is truly an amazing piece of coding Mr Fairplay has brought to SL! So, I want to thank Mr Fairplay. First for entering into our agreement. You didn't have to, you had more then enough business to keep you happy and wealthy, but you saw what we were doing in Red River City and you joined with us, no questions asked. Second, I thank you for continuing to improve your Poker Tables. You truly are amazing when it comes to coding, I would say, easily on the same level as Tcoz or Dave Zeeman, and probably a bit higher (no offense gents). I can't hardly wait to see what improvements you will be making to the Poker Tables after this, but after speaking to you about what I would like to see, I have to believe I will once again be dumbfounded and speechless when you show me what new tricks you've taught your Poke Tables! This is the PRIMARY PURPOSE of this note, to bring public adoration to Mr Fairplay. Not only for being a wonderfully good scripter, but also for being a wonderfully fair person and friend. Also, I invite everyone to Red River City in Slate, to see for themselves the great work of art that Mr Fairplay has brought to our world! For all you night-owls and insomniacs, you can now spend those sleepless evenings playing Poker with your friends and you will have a table to play on, thanks to Mr Fairplay. We will always try and keep ONE table set to $2/$4 blinds so playing won't cause you to go bankrupt. I would be amiss if I didn't also take this opportunity to thank Jeannie Moonflower for decorating the Poker Room in Red River City, for Terri Bancroft for helping where you could and not complaining about it, for Easy Wheeling and your countless hours of sitting there, playing hand after hand after hand after hand. To everyone else, that I'm not aware of that helped in testing, with ideas, and just kept encouraging Mr Fairplay on, I thank you as well. With tomorrow's Grand Opening of Red River City, I can say confidently, that the Poker Tables there will be one of the most enjoyed items in all of SL! Thanks to everyone! PS....I told you I would keep this short

Hear, hear!!!!
I too want to congratulate Mr Fairplay on some awesome scripting work. As a r/l poker player, I was thrilled when Archepageo first brought poker to SL (and I still think he did a bang-up job). But what Mr Fairplay has done for SL poker is an order of magnitude better.
Mega-kudos...

Yes,
Kudos to Arch for starting it all and even more to Mr Fairplay for making it a solid reality.

- Ace I am reserving judgement until I see the no limit table that Mr. Fairplay is working on. Low stakes limit hold em is a luck game in SL. People call around with hands that they would be raised out of in any type of rl game and tilt the table. Kinda takes the fun outta pocket rockets when someone pairs up their second off-suit low card on the river.

From: pandastrong Fairplay Low stakes limit hold em is a luck game in SL. I love that kind of table. It makes my tight-aggressive strategy a big winner when I do take down a pot. Not that I'm going to pay the rent with winnings from L$ denominated poker. But its still fun. - Ace

WOW Guys you have really flattered me with those posts I am all blushing here!
I thought I write something myself in relation to subject of the Texas Hold'em tables I created. I'd like this oppotunity to thank all the support every one who has joined us for many rounds at the Red River City, all those loyal players that purchased our tables so far. And specially I would like to thank the Slate community that has been so kind to us and allowed us to reside at their Saloon for the last few weeks and run our poker events. And personal thanks to Bob Bunderfield for helping us with his wisedom and charisma making our expirience in the Red River City an enjoyable one. Also would like to thank Easy Wheeling who is my Gambling Sector Business Manager and good friend, quality controller and hard core tester. Terri Bancroft for being my Assistant Manager at Fairplay's; hosting events and being the sexiest Poker Dealer in the whole of SL, not forgetting for her countless hours helping us test the table. Mandy Mogan our second Assistant Manager, and her continious efforts! The Remaider of the Fairplay's Dealer team and they know who they are! CherryBomb Hare for the early alpha to beta hardcore testing of the table for being a good friend and a great bit of company! And finally, the whole of SL community who supports our good cause!
Thank you all and enjoy what we worked so hard to achieve.

Let me step in and add my thanks... Thanks to Bob Bunderfeld and the Slate community for hosting us, and the excelent support they provided. Thanks to our tireless and lovely Assistant Managers, Terri Bancroft and Mandy Morgan. Thanks also to our dealers, Vehn Sauvage, Arthur Craven, Maria Neville, Johnnie Fairplay and RaZenn Anubis, for whom the new Autodealer function is a mixed blessing... Thanks also to the many other people who helped us test in addition to all those named above. CherryBomb Hare, Neo Virgo, Yummie Olsen, Sprite Quartermass and too many others to list. You know who you are... Thanks Adohan Zephyr for your kind words. There's not much we can do when all of SL takes a dirt nap, but we do try.... Thanks to all the players who have been so supportive and who have also done their part to make sure we Get it Right. And lastly, my thanks to Mr Fairplay. It's been a pleasure working with him all these weeks. It's been a pleasure watching how he thinks, how he attacks the problems we've encountered along the way, and how amazingly productive and clever he can be. Even more so when pushed. Pushing him mercilessly on features and quality has been one of my jobs; one I'm happy he gave me. He's more than earned a short rest, so I'm finally going to put away the whip for a little while. Don't worry, it will remain handy for the No-Limit and Tournament tables to come. Joking aside, Mr Fairplay needs no whipping to do simply amazing work. He does need someone to tell him to stop and get some sleep now and then, though... Sleep well, Mr. All in all, it's been a very rewarding experience, and I suspect we're just getting started. -Easy Wheeling

You can get them through Mr Fairplay. But I must warn you that they ain't cheap, and probably more than what you'd want to pay just to have an occassional home game.

I'd rather not discuss pricing on behalf of Mr Fairplay. Talk to him. All I'll say is that the tables are designed as a business enterprise, with a "rake" being taken off of each pot for the house, so they are priced accordingly.

NOt sure..but you have a great Club and I enjoy being there..however; lag is an issue..not only there but at many clubs..not sure what the answer is. :/ I know there's been discussion about lag recently..I wish someone could come up with a solution to reduce lag in SL. For me Holdem is a social event as much as gambling, and i enjoy full table or multi tabel tournies with the type of strategy that ensues with higher stakes then limit. I look forward to checking out this other system, even though my lack of desire to play with a fully automated system is prevalent, I still need to see other peoples work and it sounds like Mr. Fairplay did a great job. Kudos to all in your group who made this happen, and best of luck in your endeavours.

Speaking of your tables, I have plenty of room for more, if you ever get back to me =/ I also want to give props to both versions of this table... Jays table looks a bit classier and has more of a real feel to it... however fairplys table has an option of dealer or auto dealer, and THAT I do admit I like, I would like to be able to have dealers, but still allow people to play when there isnt one.

Jay, not to sound like a degenerate gambler, but can we please have less talking and more check-raising? Also, IM me when you are setting up your first high-stakes tourney.. I would like to sweeten the pot a bit by giving back a little of what I have made.
