Why Are We Still There?
Every day there are news reports about more deaths. Every night on TV there are photos of death and destruction. We occupied this land, which we had to take by force, but it causes us nothing but trouble. Many of our children go there and never come back. Their government is unstable, and they have loopy leadership. Many of their people are uncivilized. The place is subject to natural disasters, which we are supposed to bail them out of. There are more than 1000 religious sects, which we do not understand. Their folkways, foods and fads are unfathomable to ordinary Americans. We can't even secure the borders from those who come to make trouble or get a handout. They are billions of dollars in debt and it will cost billions more to rebuild, which we can't afford. It is becoming very clear!..............
WE MUST PULL OUT OF CALIFORNIA

Man - I was reading that and when you got to the natural disaster part I was SO sure you were going to say Florida! LOL But look on the bright side - leadership has imporved - they have the "Governator" now! (I'd trade Jeb for Arnie anyday).

Please do. I would love to see CA secede from the U.S. We'd probably take OR, WA, and HI with us... but that would be up to them.

Yes, the federal government should bail us out when we have a natural disaster, as it should every single state. Interestingly, CA has one of the lowest returns on Federal Tax Dollar at just $0.79. Most other states are well above a $1.00, Alabama is at $1.66. Maybe if we got a better return for each Federal Tax Dollar, we wouldn't be in the hole we're in.

From: Wiggle Biggles Lol you think they'd wanna go? I think there's a good chance, but you'd have to ask someone who lives in one of those states.

From: Wiggle Biggles Imagine when you didnt have other states power to supplement your own. Well, considering we pay for that supplement, I don't see much impact, honestly. However, imagine if the U.S. lost the contribution of the 8th largest economy in the world.
