Time to break the Silence.

As some of you may know, I have been involved in a little project since June involving Lusk Estates. I was crestfallen with the "newbie prim dump" that it had become, and as such, I have invested my time it "restoring" the estates, by rejoining subdivided parcels and acting as "Janitor". At the same time, people on the forum were discussing the need for "residentially zoned" sims, so they could not be built out by clubs, casinos, sheep farms etc. So I decided to do something about it.

I have not been the only one. Michael Linden came through and rebuilt all the roads. Numerous people (I forget names, but you know who you are -thanks) have donated lindens, land tier, and the Land itself to the cause.

3 months of negotiations is going to see a new charter agreement, updated to reflect the changes in the world since 1.1, which has been created for the estates residents by the residents, and a return to Lindens enforcing the charter, as they once did :)

It has also seen the creation of the Lusk Estates Land Trust. The Trust has been formed, and now owns a significant proportion of the Land in the Estates. This land will be freely available for people to build a home on, by membership to the Trust group, as well as land allocation to the group for the appropriate parcel size. Few rules apply - nothing too stressful, and there are no binding contracts, you could move in one day, and move out the next.

So for those of you interested, there you have it - parcels available have signs to click on for info.

This is the start of a major test everyone :) you asked for the land with zoning rules, and now you have it. I'd love to get everyones help in making the Estates once again something you tell new people to the welcome area to go and look at as "Cool", as well as try and establish a true community. Is there anyone willing to take the challenge with us? :)

It has been a long time dream of mine to see lusk restored to her glory days :) Bravo to you your team and to Michael Linden for this truely wonderful gift to SL. My heart felt gratitude on your achievments.

Thank you Both ;)

The problem I have is that for this to happen I now need residents. And now I need all those people who wanted to live in the estates to contact me, Eltee, or Kex to make it happen.

Otherwise its just gonna flop.

WE NEED RESIDENTS :)

Also, I would like to thank Lee and Haney, who have been instrumental in helping with the guideline enforcement side if things

After I read this I went there and didn't see anything before getting IMd -- and TPing off -- but I'm interested as it seems hard to avoid being a neighbor of gigantic ugly clubs 'n' malls. I will go back... but meanwhile -- I'll just say, "What a lovely project."

All the available plots have little signs on them saying "Free Lease*". One of the estate officers (Me, Kex Godel, Eltee Statosky) would be more than happy to help with any explanations, and "moving in" :)
