In order to help everyone understand the overall idea of the festival / flea market, I'm going to try to answer everyone's questions here.
The festival / flea market is open to everyone! You do not have to be the owner of a store or business in SL to participate. This is a great way for everyone to display (and possibly sell!) their creations in SL, or to simply unload some items out of your inventory that you never use. One man's junk is another man's treasure.
Tents
Tents can be reserved and/or they can be rented the day of the festival. We cannot guarantee location and/or colour of the tents. The tents will be arranged around the lake side in Lime on Friday night. We are encouraging advanced tent reservations so that we can plan the placement of the tents.
The actual festival / flea market will run from 7:00 a.m. PST on Saturday until 7:00 p.m. PST on Sunday. The festival will be open 24-hours both days. You do not have to be present to sell your items, but your presence does help bring people to your tent.
Special-made tents are not permitted; to be fair, we want everyone's tent to be the same size and same design. The tents represent a 10 x 10 square of available space for you to display your items.
Individuals or business can rent two tents.
Because of the associated costs with rezz'ing the tents for the festival, we cannot permit tent sharing. We are trying to keep the costs associated with having this event down to a minimum, but making the costs reasonable so that everyone can participate.
Sale Items
We encourage and recommend the "resale" of items that you have purchased. You do not have to be the original owner of an item to resell it.
We are not limiting the amount of prims that you can have inside of your tent. However, if your tent is lagged because of the items, or causing lag to surrounding tents, we will ask you to remove the high-prim or scripted items and replace them with a vendor box and/or picture of the item(s) you are selling.
We are encouraging landmarks back to your store for additional items you might have for sale.
The festival / flea market is a great way to expose your creativity in SL! Come join the fun, and see some great items!
