This thread is for people to post things and pics of things that they have done to get into the Holiday Spirit in SL. It can be builds, decor, clothes, gift-giving, etc. Anything that comes to mind.  In order to get into the Holiday Spirit in SL, I decided to decorate my home so that it is more festive. There are gifts under the tree in my room (just click on the boxes to receive them) and there are some gifts in the Snow Globe that is on my "backyard". As an added bonus, there are 5 hidden gift boxes which contain an anime doll (just "buy" for 0L and take the box). The globe's sphere is phantom and the house is just the right size for small avatars to enter (you can shrink your avatar and then enter the house). Happy Holidays, everyone!

My christmas is happy and sad.
For the last 15 years every time I mentioned to my Mother that I wanted Christmas home alone she always said but what if this is my last christmas?. Total emotional blackmail but I always spent christmas with my parents at my sister's house (I'm convinced my sister is an alien lol).
Well my Mother died aged 92 earlier this year so I get my own christmas at home but tinged with sadness.
So for me its great food, a good bottle of champagne and a glass or two of creme de menthe to follow.
I raise my glass to you all and wish you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.

With two small children, ages four and five, Christmas at our house is all about the kids... and the toys. There's lots of Lego brand stuff (Bionicles, Star Wars vehicles and dinosaurs for my son, Clickit's jewelry for my daughter), A Fisher Price castle that you can put together a number of different ways, Transformers and Power Rangers Megazords to be disassembled and reassembled, dollhouses with furniture, and various art supply sets among the mix... so I don't feel too detached from the creativity of SL, though I don't have time to log in much during this holiday weekend. There's also good food and drink and new music to listen to, so it's a mellow holiday mood around here. And off to the inlaws tomorrow. *sigh* Happy holidays to everyone in SL.
