I am sorry to post this here but there is no-one in technical forum at the moment. Plus LL I assumed is closed for the weekend.
Was in SL earlier - and tp'd to go to a sandbox. Started to fly from the hub and got a message that I had been logged out.
Now when I try to get back in, I get the following message:
'The viewer has detected mangled network data indicative of a bad upstream network connection or incomplete local installation of SL. You might consider reinstalling to see if this resolves the issue. If this problem continues please contact support@secondlife.com with complete details of your networking connection, such as ISP, DSL/cable, router, switches and network card.'
I have uninstalled SL and re-downloaded it but still get the same message. My computer is not networked but it was once for a short period when i was staying at someone elses house.
I'm at a loss to know what to do next.
Can anyone give me some advice please?
Thank you

The games up right now so unless you still can't get in the problem is solved.
If not go to preferences, General Tab, Change your Login Location from My Last Location to My Home. This will take you out of most troubled areas. I have had to do that twice in the last month.
Hope this helps. Crimson

Thank you so much - you are an absolute genius. I didn't think of the location where i was last at would have caused the problem. You have saved my life. meerha

The "mangled network data" message is often indicative of a corrupted cache. If you go back to where you were before the data for that region is flushed from your cache, you might get the error again.
Your best bet is to clear your cache by deleting the contents of :
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Secondlife\cache
