Can someone clarify and explain the current event hosting rules for me? I want to hire a staff, a large staff. I want to have people host events every night etc...

But there are rules about only 1 event per person per night I think. Is it only to reduce the event "spam"? Why can't 1 AV take on a job in SL as an event hoster and host like 5 events a night for 5 different people? I want to hire event hosters but I can't find enough of them. I also want to run like 7 events a night, but I think there are rules against that too. I'm not talking about Linden sponsored events, I'm willing to pay Av's myself.

Jack as i read the rules they pertain to receiving Linden $ support and terms and condition for receiving Linden support.

You can do what you're talking about but you will receive Linden$ for only 1 per day, and only if it is a competitive event - they will pay you $250 for you, and $500 toward prize money to be awarded.

All events on the Calendar must be in PG language and all must conform to TOS & Community Standards.

:)

Ohhh? I can hold as many as I want if I don't seek the $250L's? If I pay $500 out of my pocket that AV can still hold a $L event later that night?

The way I understand event rules, you (or anyone) can hold as many events a day as they choose as long as each of the events are different (for example, you can't hold two bingo events in a day). Only one event per day will get Linden support, but only if it includes an element of competition.

So basically, I think your idea will work as long as all the people are holding different events and don't expect Linden support.

Each event at your location has to be unique - no duplicate events. So all the events at your location have to be different events - all have to be hosted.

Here the rules:

========
Event Posting Rules

There is a limit of one event per location per day on the event calendar unless the second event offers a completely different activity. Also, each person can post only one event per day regardless of the location unless the second event is completely different.

An event is defined as a special group activity that is led by a host. Examples include discussions, group meetings, hosted dances, classes, tours, and competitions. Shopping, viewing parcels for sale, and other non-group activities are not appropriate to post on the events calendar. (Most of those notices are fine to list in the classified section of the Forums.)
---
Examples of opportunities that are NOT OK to post as events:

Visit my land for sale.

Visit my new store, half price sale.

Come see the vendor spots for rent.

Visit my building.
---
Events that include organized rating of one or more Second Life residents are not allowed.

The event descriptions need to conform to PG guidelines, consistent with the overall Second Life website policy - so no overt sex descriptions; sex for money, sex chat, simulated sex, strong violence, or anything else broadly offensive.

Mature events must be listed as Mature, and held in M-rated sims.

Cool, well that's good news.

I guess the restriction on no more than 1 of the same type per day is to save space in the event calendar?
