Problems ! :( Help Please !

i have a problems in game
1) my find option don't work i was try all reinstal game and more but it dont work ....
2) my apperance dont work to ... when i clik on my av it turn and look like when i change etc but i dont see a actionbar so cant change myself if someone can help me ... please !!

For the find option, are you giving it a minute to work? I know my FIND function has been very slow in reacting lately.Does it come up to the scrren where you can type in a keyword or name?

As to the changing your AV problem, you need to click on your AV using the right mouse button. This should bring up a circular menu. One of the options on that menu is Appearance. That's the one you want.

If you've tried both those things and they still don't work (remember it can take a few moments) then you may indeed want to reinstall Second Life.

try it again after the game is back up today (assuming its down right now till 12:00).
Whatever they are doing to the database server might help with your find.

Hmm..strange. Do you get the menu choices when you right click on your AV? Do you go into appearance and can't use the sliders? Do you choose appearance and nothing happens? If you get a menu, but appearance isn't on it, you may be accidently clicking on an attachment/object instead of your AV.

Sorry if these sugggestions sound dumb, but trying to understand exactly what happens or doesn't happen when you try and at what point it breaks down.

sorry to hear that you're still having problems.
For all the others some extra information:
I met Wildfire when she just came on to SL for the first time. I have been trying to help her for quite some time, but I had to give up and ask her to get in touch with live help.
I only knew of the "find" problem, not of the "appearance" problem.

In my opinion she dragged the Find off screen (maybe even way off). She does hear the "plop" sound when you click Find. I even had her set the display options to some higher resolutions, to check if she could see the Find then, but it wasnt there.
Mabye do a COMPLETE fresh install of SL. If everything is set to default, the Find screen should pop up somewhere in the middle of the screen....

So:
uninstall second life
delete everything in C:\program files\Secondlife
go to: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\SecondLife (if you have XP) and delete everything there

Maybe there are more places where SL keeps data (registry? maybe someone can answer this...)

Did you talk to Live Help? Did they come up with other suggestions?

Maybe it's possible to install SL on an other PC, to see if the problem is PC related? (friend, family?)

Maybe there's a polish resident that can help her?
