Hello, Second Lifers. I'm Theda and I just joined up. This looks like an amazing world with endless creative freedom. After coming from Anarchy Online I'm dying to see what happens in a place where players get to make the world. Enough babbling. See you in the world (does it have a name?) and looking forward to meeting you. Yes, you!

WELCOME TO SECOND LIFE! The world does not have a name, though it's been discussed before. Generally, everyone in-game is very friendly and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask lots of questions about the game while you're taking your baby steps! Oh, and keep watching the forums--lot of action goes on here. Woohoo! New people.

Welcome to SL Theda! I loved AO when I played it during beta. Even with all the crashes. Life happened though and I moved on, but often think about checking it out again some day. Right now though it would take an army to drag me away from SL. hehe.. Hope to see you in game sometime, and feel free to look me up if you ever need help with anything!

oh-ohhhhh! Omni-tek or Clan? Welcome, then! We'll meet on line, maybe not at the Temple of Three Winds...

From: someone Originally posted by Pendari Lorentz Welcome to SL Theda! I loved AO when I played it during beta. Even with all the crashes. Life happened though and I moved on, but often think about checking it out again some day. I played AO when it went live. To this day I consider it the absolute worst opening of any game I've played. I kept it up though, going with it for about a month before I gave up in disgust. I tried it again about a month ago though on a free trial. WoW! what a difference. Now I'd have to say, of the mmorpg's I've played, it seems one of the best. Very smooth, good graphics, etc. It's like a completely different game. They really turned it around. If I ever did go back to the level-grinding rpg's, AO would be one I'd seriously consider. On a similiar note, anyone tried Endless Ages? Strangely beautiful graphics. Couldnt kill anything, so I'm not sure about combat or adventuring, but just running around was amazing. I think may be a game to keep an eye on if you're into mmorpg's.

Hey a lot of old Anarchists. AO was great fun. I absolutely adored the world and the setting and the scenery and all the weird creatures but I got tired of the level grind. Roleplaying and alternative play helped out but eventually I lost interest. During my time on Rubi-Ka I worked for Omni, fought for the Clans, and served my own selfish Neutral interests. Fond memories for certain. If anyone wants to reminisce about leets and supaleets or the joy of building the perfect implant, look me up.
