Maby they sould have some sort of contest or drawing, and the winners will get all expence paid trips there..

You know what? screw it. Lets just make our own Sl, we can call it "2 1/2 Life" or something like that. And have our own parties n junk.

FWIW, I'm Portuguese (mother's side of my family all came over from the Azores, Terceira specifically) and I'm in Boston.

And yes, I love linguica and Boston chowdah. :P

Because... incase you haven't heard, the West Coast is the Best Coast. :p :D

I would imagine they throw them here because thats where most of the staff is.

What's wrong with CA? We're a lovely state chuck full of nuts and fruits, great landscapes, fabu-lous fashion (errr.. sometimes), Silicon Valley, Hollywood and all its plastic-goodness.... I mean, what's NOT to love?

Oh, sure.. traffic is a PITA, the smog can be bad if you live in SoCal, and the avg. housing price well over $500k is a bit annoying, but hey! I love CA.

:D

p.s. if you're going to be in the area or are here, be sure to see the Great White shark at the Monterey Aquarium - she rocks!

Juro's right, the Monterey Aquarium is absolutely the best place to visit; it's my goal to schlep the kids up there in the next year or two. The whole Carmel-Monterey-Santa Cruz is so gorgeous, it's the one spot in CA I'd consider moving to if I didn't want to live in WA State anymore... and if I could afford it.

I'm pretty much with Lianne, though, Washington is great. :)

Partying ANYWHERE

Kage, there's nothing stopping you or any other east coaster from organizing a SL Bash somewhere within driving distance from where you live. I used to play a MOO/MUD and a large group of us partied in all different places across the U.S.A. and Canada. Don't need Lindens there to have a good time ..... but who knows, maybe a Linden or two would show up.

Aww, everyone knows California is way different than Washington. I only meant that it would take west coasters less than 4 days (5 in my case) to drive to the party. =)

Yep! I agree. I just think it'd be fun to have an east coast party too. So far only one east coaster has weighed in. He's a Linden though, so does he count as two people? *Kage ducks*

What are you talking about? Washington has always been on the east coast, with Virginia and Maryland!
Oooooh... Washington state.... I keep forgetting that's up there hiding in the corner like a spider or something. :D

And don't be hating on California... if it wasn't so cool, there wouldn't even be a Linden Lab in San Fran. ;)

I can't wait until Linden Lab East is established. :) And other international offices, for that matter.

If you wish, you can apply to be an International Liaison as detailed here:

http://lindenlab.com/intl-liaison.html

There are several other east-coast Lindens.
