It's 4 strikes and you're out time:

1. Lag: I just logged in and found the lag so heavy and so persistent that it was impossible to even move. No matter how low I made the display settings; no matter how much rendering I disabled in Debug; no matter what...I couldn't push the fps over 3. Normal for me on 1.1 was 10 to 15, depending on location.

2. Prims on parcel bug: I have over 150 prims available for use in the Clara sim. Yet, when I tried to rez a single prim on my own property in Clara, I was unable to. A message popped up telling me that the Parcel was full. This bug has been widely reported, but no fix is even promised, let alone delivered. And as far as I can find, the Lindens have never even acknowledged that the problem exists.

3. Lighting and Rendering bugs: as others have already said, the in-world lighting is badly screwed up, and even constant reseting of the Gamma doesn't help. Many objects are now too dark to see. Fogging, clouding, ghosting, and rendering problems are simply overwhelming.

4. Where did support go?: Since way back in Beta, it's been normal to get a response to a bug report within a day or two. Suddenly, it seems that nobody's home. Yet there's often a whole pack of Lindens logged onto the forums these days. Maybe it's time to to log off the forums and answer some email, eh?

So; I can't move, build, or see. And I'm tired of conversing with the auto-responder. And, worst of all, I'm finding it difficult to even care any more.

Game over.

I apologize if my anger is seeping into this post. I'm just upset over this whole debacle. I truly never imagined that I would ever feel even a twinge of regret about having purchased a Lifetime Membership at the end of the Beta. But, as I'm feeling very twingey, it's clearly time to take a break. There's a point at which assurances and reassurances no longer provide any consolation.

Regretfully, I'm out of here until some future release actually fixes the problems I've mentioned. And I fear it will be a long hiatus.

Till then, I wish everyone peace and love.

Imagine all your complaints, multiply by 200. Imagine your company of 30 workers getting all 200 complaints at once.

Just give it a little time, whatever's breaking you will be fixed :D

Also, as to the full parcel bug. . .

I don't think this is a bug at all.

I have the land back for my Carnival in Stanford. However, I'm having to hold off on moving back there.

Why?

The sim is still full.

Believe me when I say this peeps: Things will get better on or before Jan. 12th when everyone is forced to be within the prim limits.

As of now, we're still in a grace period and people are still holding on to the prims they have over the limit.

And just a warning to those who are - who would you like to decide which prims go back to your inventory, you or Linden Labs?

If you're over your prim limits, don't take the whole grace period to correct the problem Please. For your sake and others.

And finally, Happy Holidays to the Lindens. Please, take some much deserved time off. We'll be here when you get back. Well, almost all of us ;)

i've been suprised with the number of older players who've been "shocked" by their prim limits. llab gave us two weeks notice and a formula. now we have a three week grace period. i'm not a way experienced beta lifer but i was able to calculate my prim usage, realign my holdings and plan for the transition with the information llab gave us.

what i'm hearing is that instead of scaling back (or paying more) people are just going to quit. i started a thread (link below) asking for higher prim percentages for lifers because i thought they deserved it. i seriously thought that if everyone screamed together, they would listen. know how many replies it got? one. i hear a lot of complaining. i see no constructive group effort to effect a change.

just realized i jacked this thread. sorry to see you go black. good luck out there.

Why do you think they deserve this? I know of a lot of lifers that just recently got lifetime memberships. It was a great deal already. $225 for 4096 square meters of land and a free premium account. That's $34.95 they are saving per month. Not sure why lifetimers deserve extra prims on top of this.

Also there are a lot of lifers out there now , upping the prim limit for each one of them may very possibly have an effect on everyone else.

Haney Linden posted on another thread that there will be fixes before the January 12 grace date. Its tough, but be patient.
