camera control: stop recentering?

Is it possible to stop the recentering of the camera everytime I hit a movement key? I notice that the recentering doesn't take place when i'm sitting. Is there an attachment I can wear that will allow this kind of camera control? Why isn't there a check-box for "stop camera recentering"? It would be so easy to do and so useful.

I glanced at your signature and misread it as "who wants GRAVITY?"

Gravity is great,
Weighing on me, down,
Since before I was a child.
It's hard to compensate.

Just a few lines from one of my favorite songs that you've never heard unless you live in Phoenix/Tempe/Mesa, Arizona.

The only way to "compensate" for the camera movement is to use a camera offset with a vehicle script. This would require you to create a ground hover vehicle that animates you as you move. I haven't tried it, but I think that it is the only way. Of course, with the camera offset, you are still stuck with 1 camera position, and if you use zoom, pan, and rotate tools for the camera, it will snap back to your Camera offset position when you hit the movement keys.

If I am wrong, please correct me. Thanks.

You know, it'd be nice if whoever the hell's in charge of camera control would keep the focus on the actual SHOW, because this is REALLY getting...

I kinda like the camera recentering when I move while standing. My camera view often gets all wanky if Im panning around the area, and hard to find myself again. It's nice to just have to turn a slight bit to get my camera recentered.
