I didn't know where to post this, in General, Hotline to Lindens, Feature Suggestions, or what, so I just figured I'd put it here:
I think it'd be great if Linden Lab set up a forum system for people to post to.

I disagree. I think it's a terrible idea. Do that, and then people will post threads like the following trash:
"I didn't know where to post this, in General, Hotline to Lindens, Feature Suggestions, or what, so I just figured I'd put it here:
I think it'd be great if Linden Lab set up a forum system for people to post to."

while you are at it LL, i'd like you to make a system where i can rate the posts witha pull down menu so i don't have to actually type out a 5 star reply every time.

Bad Idea!
03-04-2005 11:43
Taco, if the Lindens made a forum, people might use it to write things about Second Life. Some of it might be bad stuff! That would make the Lindens cry and pout and sit around with their lower lips stuck way out. What the heck were you thinking of?! It's ok though, you can just ask Jeska to delete your post, the forum moderator likes deleting posts because it makes 'em feel nice and totalitarian inside. .

How can he have a post deleted from a forum system that only exists as a five star rated neat idea ?

From: Lecktor Hannibal How can he have a post deleted from a forum system that only exists as a five star rated neat idea ? That's the most sensible thing I've ever heard. See, if we had a forum, we could talk about stuff like that.

My accidental second post was deleted!

My accidental second post was deleted! That is totalitarianism!
If we had a forum this kind of stuff would be happening all the time.

THIS is why I play Second Life! Fantastic immediate response. Thanks Unkie! Since you're here, how about fixing the multiple-select and copy --Jack Lambert

I have a question....
03-04-2005 22:11
When I signed up for Second Life I was expecting some kind of 3d virtual environment but this just looks like a bunch of text on flat planes. In some ways it resembles a forum. Is it some kind of technical problem? Is it cause I'm running it on a notebook computer?
Here are my systems specs in case that matters:
8.5 x 11 inches college ruled 3 hole binder punched
vinyl case 1" binding pockets front and back a nifty plastic pencil holder
