Did any of this help?

Funny you should mention this. This week I too, vacuumed my computer. While under my desk, I have the hose a yank to pull the vacuum closer only to hear a terrible sound and smell a horrid smell. I thought the belt went. I turned around and flipped it off, got up and had a look.

It wasnt the belt. When I pulled it to me, it sucked up its own cord and mangled about a foot of it beyond recognition. Needless to say, I now need a new vacuum. :(

Are frozen peas really a good solution? I would think they would also generate humidity which wouldn't be good for things.

Misnomer, that sucks, when you do buy a new vacuum though, use consumer reports! :D We recently baught a new vacuum, used consumer reports, and it works great.

If the vacuum cleaner eats its cord, then devours itself, shrinking all the while, it may become a black hole or a worm hole, either of which are not a good thing to have in one's living quarters.
