Eins, if you and fey need more prims for your shop, you should know that you dont need them to be in one big contiguous plot. Prim usage is sim-wide: You can have a shitload of prims on a tiny plot and own a large amount of empty land on the other side of the sim to compensate.

Argh, well one bad consequence of 1.2 is that people may buy up scattered little land plots all over the place so they can get the prims they need... what a mess. Oh well

But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

I'm not sure that IS a bad consequence, Garoad. It allows residents to make use of 100% of a sim's resources, not just the parts that have attractive land. In fact, I think that was the point the Lindens had in mind the entire time. Now, if only there was a way for the Lindens to re-terraform unattractive land...

Is that how that prim limit thing works? Prim limits are per parcel. Yes, you can have more than one parcel in a sim, which means you get to use more prims in that sim. But you only get to use the number of prims on each of those parcels that the parcel supports. I ran into this on my recent land purchase...I bought two parcels in Slate, figuring it would max prim allotment for my one build. But the prim allotment didn't go up on the big parcel when I bought the other small one...now I just had two parcels, each that supported its own parcel figure, giving me a higher sim-prim usage, but not helping me add prims to the parcel I wanted to build on.
I heard something about that being changed somehow, but am dubious. If it already has been changed, I saw no tools at all that enabled me to shift around prim allocations.

Think of the number of prims a parcel supports as, instead, the number of prims it contributes to your total prims in a given sim. You CAN use prims from one parcel allotment on another, it's just worded poorly in the interace.

Ok...I had two parcels. One said it supported 854 prims. The other said 21. The overall sim number was the sum of the two, but trying to put 22 prims on that one small parcel didn't work (parcel is full). There was no indication, anywhere, that I could now put 800+ prims on the parcel that only supported 21.
It's not just a question of "poorly worded"...there is no indication at all in the tools anywhere that it works this way, and my own attempt to do it failed. I could not use all those prims until I joined the two parcels (I originally left it subdivided).
Whether or not it's supposed to work the other way (1k prims on a one-square parcel if you otherwise own about 1/16th of the sim elsewhere), I'm a tellin' ya that I tried it and it didn't work.

A few times when I was trying to add stock to my store in Aqua I got the "parcel full" message. The parcel wasn't full, and trying again in a few minutes it worked just fine. There's something a big wonky about it.
