NewsMax (a republican attack machine) is hard at work attacking Peter Jennings for not going to the Pope's funeral. From: someone ABC anchorman Peter Jennings, for instance, begged off on making the trek - saying he was "feeling under the weather," according to the New York Post. As it turns out "feeling under the weather" means he has lung cancer. Why does NewsMax hate cancer victims?

Neehai, this is totally inappropriate.
I think it would be much more honest to say that Newsmax hates Peter Jennings, and Peter Jennings has cancer. No hatred of the wider cancer community is portrayed on their site, and you do a disservice to people like me, who truly do hate people with cancer.

The "under the weather" NewsMax story came out on April 4th. The announcement that Peter Jennings has lung cancer came out on April 5th. And the text of the first story seems to indicate that the "under the weather" phrase come from ABC News or from Jennings himself, by way of the New York Post (no link available, sorry).

I would say the powers that be want all the news anchors gone.
Peter Jennings- lung cancer. Dan Rather - shamed into retiring from CBS. Ted Koppel - retiring from Nightline. Tom Brokaw - retired.
changing there mind control techniques.

Yes, I am aware of the timeline. What would be nice is if these "news" organizations actually reported the news instead of accusing someone with lung cancer of "snubbing" the Pope's funeral. There's just no need for that kind of attack dog shit. What the hell does it matter when they said the man was sick? It was okay to attack him when he was just sick but didn't publically have lung cancer? Does someone have to be in a persistent vegetative state to get a little compassion from these groups? Maybe there should be a Republican sick-o-meter so we know how venemous to be n the future.

Look, they might not have known that he had cancer at the time, but all that means is that they attacked him for the wrong reasons.
Can't we look at the bigger picture, and be grateful that someone with cancer was attacked, regardless of the reason?
Newsmax unintentionally did the world a favor. Regardless of their reason, they have helped in putting one more cancerite in their place.
These people need to be put down, NOW, or they will spread through society like a.....well I don't know quite like what, but certainly not something good.

From: Neehai Zapata Why does NewsMax hate cancer victims?
Newsmax is thoroughly versipellous. When it's with plebeians, it warms the cockles of their hearts by remonstrating against militarism. But when Newsmax is safely surrounded by its helpers, it instructs them to confuse, disorient, and disunify. That type of cunning two-sidedness tells us that I once overheard Newsmax say something quite astonishing. Are you strapped in? Newsmax said that it can create a climate of intimidation and get away with it. Can you believe that? At least its statement made me realize that we must learn to celebrate our diversity, not because it is the politically correct thing to do, but because Newsmax is more concerned with the social acceptability of an idea than with its truth or falsity. That should serve as the final, ultimate, irrefutable proof that it will probably respond to this letter just like it responds to all criticism. It will put me down as "self-righteous" or "impertinent". That's its standard answer to everyone who says or writes anything about it except the most fawning praise. As reluctant as I am to admit it, just because Newsmax and its vassals don't like being labelled as "feeble-minded know-nothings" or "violent, pea-brained lugs" doesn't mean the shoe doesn't fit. There is a simple answer to the question of what to do about Newsmax's invectives. The difficult part is in implementing the answer. The answer is that we must push a consistent vision that responds to most people's growing fears about morally repugnant mountebanks. I close this letter along the same lines it opened on: Newsmax should stop playing verbal games and tell us what it really means. http://www.pakin.org/complaint?firstname=Newsmax&pgraphs=1&gender=c

Why would you even stay 2 seconds on a website cluttered with get rich, lose weight doing nothing and other assorted alleged scams? Much less give any credance to what they have to offer?
